Ted Nugent has words for Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, calling her a “tyrant.” In a video recorded outside a Trump Rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Nugent criticized the governor.
Nugent’s remarks come almost a month after the FBI thwarted a kidnapping attempt on Whitmer. Several members of a Michigan militia planned to overthrow the state’s government. According to the FBI, members called Whitmer a “tyrant” and “sitting governor.”
“My name is Ted Nugent and I am here to cut in half any punk that decides he will try to control my life,” Nugent said in a video shared on Facebook. Nugent is a native of the state. “Hey Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, are you listening? You tyrant, power-abusing criminal. Wow.”
Ted Nugent Criticized the Michigan Governor in a Rant
The Democratic governor isn’t up for reelection until 2022. During the video, Nugent waited to perform at the rally for President Donald Trump. He discussed his views on America and how they defeated “kings and emperors and tyrants.”
“My name is Ted Nugent and I’m a free man. I have all my freedoms and all my rights directly from God,” Nugent said in the video. “We just happened to written them down after we got out of the stranglehold of the kings and emperors and tyrants and the pr–ks. We decided to experiment with our own self-government and give them the finger of freedom.”
“Tell the king to kiss our a–, tell the tyrants to kiss our a–. Tell the emperors to kiss our a–,” Nugent continued. “In fact, we told the emperors, we’re going to cut you in half. Don’t you love when the free people cut the tyrants and emperors and the punks in half? Isn’t that a beautiful thing?”
