Tom Brady took a jab at himself as he congratulated LeBron James on winning his fourth NBA title on Sunday.
Brady, 43, applauded “old guy” James, 35, in a tweet Sunday after the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Miami Heat 106-93 in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
“Congrats to my brother @KingJames on winning his 4th championship. Not bad for a washed up old guy!”
But included in the tweet was a Photoshopped image of a blundering Brady from last week. The Buccaneers quarterback seemingly got confused in a game against the Chicago Bears on Thursday, CBS reports. On the final drive of the game, Tom Brady heaved a pass from the 41-yard line on fourth-and-six with a little more than a minute left in the game. Down by one point, this effectively ended the Bucs’ hopes of a win.
But it seems Brady didn’t realize that. The camera spotted him holding up four fingers as if he believed it was fourth down after he threw the incomplete pass. The Buccaneers turned the ball over to the Bears who ran out the clock.
The six-time NFL champion included the photo of himself holding up four fingers in the tweet, but he put James’ head onto his body.
Brady didn’t comment on whether he confused the downs or not, the New York Times said.

Fans seemed to enjoy Brady having fun at his own expense.
This was Los Angeles’ first championship since 2010 and 17th title overall, NBC reported. James was named NBA Finals MVP for the fourth time. Brady has the same number of Super Bowl MVP awards.
Brady and the 4-2 Buccaneers play the undefeated Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
