Watch: Donald Trump Says ‘Maybe I’ll Have to Leave the Country’ if Joe Biden Wins Election

Donald Trump says he may consider leaving the United States if Joe Biden wins the 2020 Presidential election. The President reportedly made the comments in jest during a campaign event in Macon, GA on Friday.

“I will deliver optimism, opportunity and hope, and that’s what we’re doing, and this is why we have this kind of spirit, and I hate to say it because I don’t want to insult Georgia, but it’s this way all over our country,” Trump said.

He continued by adding: ““I shouldn’t joke because you know what? Running against the worst candidate in the history of presidential politics puts pressure on me. Could you imagine if I lose? My whole life, what am I going to do? I’m going to say ‘I lost to the worst candidate in the history of politics.’ I’m not going to feel so good. Maybe I’ll have to leave the country? I don’t know.”

Shortly after Twitter user David Mack shared the clip on social media, the video garnered a massive reaction. Many users then slammed the President. Check out some of the Twitter responses below:

Donald Trump Previously Commented on Losing to Joe Biden in September

On the campaign trail last month, President Trump previously addressed the possibility of losing to former Vice President Biden. “If I lose to him, I don’t know what I’m going to do,” he said, The Hill reports. “I will never speak to you again.”

The Biden campaign later reacted to the President’s comments on social media. On Biden’s official Twitter account, he writes along with a video of President Trump: “I’m Joe Biden and I approve this message.”

Donald Trump isn’t the only one talking about leaving the country depending on the outcome of the election. Earlier this week, rock icon Bruce Springsteen also spoke out. In contrast to Trump, the “Born in the U.S.A.” singer says he plans to “move to Australia” if Donald Trump wins re-election. Learn more here.
