The Trump family has shared their especially heartbreaking initial reactions to Robert Trump’s untimely death at age 71.
What the Trump Family Had to Say About Robert Trump
The children of Donald shared their reactions on social media and spoke highly of their uncle.
“Uncle Robert, we love you. You are in our hearts and prayers, always,” Ivanka tweeted.
“Uncle Rob, we love you and we will miss you. R.I.P.,” Donald Jr. wrote.
“Robert Trump was an incredible man – strong, kind and loyal to the core,” Eric said. “Anyone who encountered him felt his warmth immediately. He will be deeply missed by our entire family.”

His Passing
President Trump released a public statement regarding his brother’s passing. “It is with heavy heart I share that my wonderful brother, Robert, peacefully passed away tonight,” he said, according to Fox News. “He was not just my brother, he was my best friend. He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again. His memory will live on in my heart forever. Robert, I love you. Rest in peace.”
Thankfully, prior to his passing, Donald visited his brother while he was hospitalized in New York. Both his hospitalization and cause of death are unknown at this time. A senior White House administrator said that Donald had a “good relationship with his brother and his brother is very special to him.”
Who is Robert Trump?
Robert Trump is the younger brother of Donald Trump. He is a former executive at the Trump organization but did not seek out the public spotlight. He has been vocal about his support for the Republican political party and his brother’s presidency.
Furthermore, in a 2016 interview with Page Six, Robert shared that he supported his brother “one thousand percent.” “If he were to need me in any way, I’d be there,” he added. “Anything I could do to help.”
“I think he’s doing a great job,” he continued. “I think he’s got a great message.”
Finally, he married his brother’s former assistant, Ann Marie Pallan back in March. They were reportedly living in a home in Long Island, New York.
Unfortunately, Robert passed eleven days before his 72nd birthday. Robert was hospitalized at Mt. Sinai in New York City earlier this summer. He was in the intensive care unit for over a week for an undisclosed reason.
