Last night, Alyssa Milano shared a hopeful video for Biden supporters on Instagram. In the video, she assures her followers that she is “feeling really really good about what’s happening right now” with the election.
Her enthusiasm stems from her feeling that “there is no way he can pull this off.” This, she feels, is due to Trump’s loss of the popular vote in 2016.
“It’s not like he’s built on that,” she says about the popular vote. “In my opinion, he has probably lost votes. It’s not like Hilary [Clinton’s] voters were like ‘I’m going to vote for Trump this time.'”
Milano’s enthusiasm did not end on Instagram, however. Throughout the night, she continued to send encouragement to Biden supporters on Twitter. “We are going to win,” she stated at one point. Beyond her own tweets, she retweeted dozens of positive messages and words from other Biden supporters.
Alyssa Milano and the ‘Every Vote Counts’ Hashtag
One point Milano continued to emphasize was the ‘Count Every Vote’ hashtag. This refers to the mail-in votes that will likely be counted in the days following the election. “Any politician can say what they want to say,” she tweeted at one point. “But it’s the will of the voters that decides the election.”
Despite this, President Trump claimed to win the election after taking an early lead, CNN reported. Joe Biden is reported to have an advantage in mail-in votes, so the President’s claim is not definitive.
The Presidential election remains undecided to this point. Several swing states, including Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin continue to count votes. As of Wednesday morning, Joe Biden reportedly has the advantage in Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin, while President Trump has the advantage in Georgia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.
