Watch: Donald Trump Releases Nearly 38 Unedited Minutes of CBS ’60 Minutes’ Interview

Donald Trump has kept his promise — or threat — and released the full interview he did recently with “60 Minutes.”

Trump walked out of an interview with Lesley Stahl on Tuesday, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He objected to the questions the CBS reporter asked, and he threatened to release a copy of the interview before the Sunday air date. He tweeted that he wanted viewers to compare his “full, flowing, and ‘magnificently brilliant’ answers” to their questions.

On Thursday, Trump did just that. The president published a 38-minute video purporting to be the entire interview only hours after CBS published several clips of his and Stahl’s conversation.

“Look at the bias, hatred and rudeness on behalf of 60 Minutes and CBS. Tonight’s anchor, Kristen Welker, is far worse! #MAGA,” he captioned the video.

Welker will moderate Thursday night’s debate between Trump and Democrat Joe Biden. Trump claimed at a rally that Welker was “a radical left Democrat,” Vox reported.

Trump seemed annoyed from the very start the onset of the interview. After Stahl asks him “Are you ready for some tough questions?” The president complained of unfair treatment. “You don’t ask Biden tough questions … it’s terrible, you know that,” he says at the beginning of the tape.

Stahl grilled Trump on the recent spikes of the coronavirus in the United States, civil unrest across the country, and his rallies.

Trump protests after it’s mentioned that Pence will join soon to be part of the next segment. “Well, I think we have enough. I think we have enough of an interview here. OK? That’s enough. Let’s go. Let’s go.” He stands up, takes off his microphone, and leaves, the New York Times said.

CBS slams Trump for releasing ’60 Minutes’ interview

In a statement, CBS said they wouldn’t let Trump bully them.

“The White House’s unprecedented decision to disregard their agreement with CBS News and release their footage will not deter 60 MINUTES from providing its full, fair, and contextual reporting which presidents have participated in for decades. 60 Minutes, the most-watched news program on television, is widely respected for bringing its hallmark fairness, deep reporting and informative context to viewers each week.  Few journalists have the presidential interview experience Lesley Stahl has delivered over her decades as one of the premier correspondents in America and we look forward to audiences seeing her third interview with President Trump and subsequent interview with Vice President Pence this weekend.”

Lesley Stahl has interviewed Donald Trump twice in the White House.

“60 Minutes” will air on Sunday night.
