Weather conditions in Chicago proved dangerous yesterday and today, as a massive wave from Lake Michigan swept one jogger right off her feet.

CBS Chicago news anchor Audrina Bigos posted the video of the poor woman on Twitter earlier yesterday. She’s jogging along the lakeshore with a man, as waves swell and overflow onto the running path.

One wave sends water sliding right under the jogger’s feet, causing her to tumble as another massive wave hits the wall right behind her. Another soon pummels her as she’s on the ground, washing over her completely. Her friend runs back to help her up, and the two walk it off. The jogger holds her right elbow as she walks away, which it looks like hit the concrete pathway first when she tumbled down.

“WIPE OUT on the lakefront. Joggers, bikers, and walkers are getting soaked by the big waves in Chicago today,” Bigos captioned the video. See the painful wipeout for yourself below.

CBS Chicago followed up the video with a story about the “hazardous” lake conditions for today, Thursday. The outlet warned Chicagoans to stay away from the lakefront today, as well as people in Indiana who border Lake Michigan.

The outlet’s meteorologist Laura Bannon also sent out a warning on Twitter. “High waves and lakeshore flooding continue. Most significant impacts along the Indiana shore,” she tweeted. Bannon also included infographics to show where the waves will hit hardest.

According to the infographics, Chicago underwent a lakeshore flood advisory until 10 a.m. this morning. The Indiana border will stay under a lakeshore flood advisory until 7 p.m. tonight. The Windy City could experience flooding from waves eight to 16 feet high. While in Indiana, the waves could reach 14 to 18 feet.

Wave Sends Dude Flying After Going Down Massive Sand Dune in Epic Video

Unlike the poor jogger who didn’t sign up for massive waves during her jog, this person took full advantage of the one that hit him. Barstool Sports shared a video of a wave boarder who went flying when a wave lifted him up out of the water.

The wave boarder starts at the top of this huge sand dune, sliding down it on his waveboard like he’s sledding. The steep incline of the sand dune gives him plenty of speed as he approaches the shoreline.

As he hits the waves coming in, they lift him up into the air, a good five to ten feet above the waves. The guy clearly doesn’t expect it, his legs flailing as he starts going headfirst into the water. He loses the wakeboard somewhere in the air.
