How would you react if you found out that your grandmother used to date lots of attractive men? There is at least one woman who knows exactly how that feels.

Lauren Semar’s grandmother — Mary Lee Semar — was a Class of 1948 graduate from Bakersfield High School. And little did anyone know, she used to be quite the catch. Semar found that out after going through her grandmother’s high school scrapbook.

“I’ve found my grandmother’s High School scrapbook,” Semar announced on TikTok last week. “And I would like to share with you all of the extremely hot, smoking hot men, probably dead now, she used to date — because oh my god!”

In the video, Semar explains that last Wednesday would have been her grandmother’s 91st birthday had she not died two years ago.

“So, I’ve got one of her old dance cards — ‘The Stars Will Remember.’ She graduated in ’48 so it looks like her senior year. The juniors are putting on this dance for the seniors. She went with Bob,'” Semar realized. “Who’s Bob? I need to know.”

In what was supposed to be just a little reminiscing, Semar couldn’t believe her eyes as she continued going through the book. Her grandmother was not your average woman.

Woman on TikTok Wonders Why These Other Men Weren’t Her Grandpa

Lauren Semar has been an active TikToker for some time now. She normally posts short videos to advertise for her custom clothing line, Lauren of Palm Springs. But her profile really blew up after posting the video about her grandma’s handsome boyfriends.

“It was amazing,” Semar said during a Zoom call. “I mean, it was really blowing up. I was like, ‘Hey, that’s cool. Well, I woke up this morning and it was like 1.4 million views,'” she said. “It’s insanity, cause I just did it for fun, for me as like, a remembrance. All the girls are like, ‘Why aren’t guys like this anymore?’ Or, ‘These guys look so put together.’ Where are the grandsons? We need to know. I can’t wait to meet Bob in heaven. Ladies are, like, planning out their afterlife with these men. So — yeah.”

As Semar kept going through her grandmother’s different teenage boyfriends, it seems like they kept getting better looking and more in shape.

“I don’t know who this guy is,” she said. “Oh my god, this guy’s like, Rock Hudson looking. There he is again. Oh my god. I don’t know this dude’s name. Oh yeah, why aren’t YOU my grandpa?”

So, who was Lauren Semar’s grandpa? Well, thankfully she didn’t leave us in the dark. She posted a second TikTok video to answer just that. She explained that her biological grandpa only lasted two years with her grandmother. But then she got re-married.

“In ’71 she married Randall Rankin — he was my step-grandpa. He was really, really wonderful, and he might not have been a super smoking hot babe when she married him, but I didn’t care. He was great.”
