‘Yellowstone’: Teeter Actress Jen Landon Calls Taylor Sheridan, AKA Mr. T, ‘The GOAT’

Clearly, fans love the results of “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan’s writing efforts. It’s refreshing then to see that the cast of the hit show feels the same way. Teeter actress Jen Landon even went so far as to call “Mr. T” the GOAT.

She posted a photo to her Instagram story during a “Yellowstone” fan event. Accompanying her were co-stars Luke Grimes, Jake Ream, and Taylor Sheridan himself.

Now, the “GOAT” acronym commonly refers to the “greatest of all time.” In this case, however, it’s possible Jen Landon had something else in mind. Of course, it’s impossible to know, but could she have been referring to Sheridan as the “greatest of all Taylors?” Either one works, really. The “Mr. T” title definitely puts a little extra emphasis on his first name.

Okay, maybe it’s a stretch. But regardless, she had only kinds words to say about the “Yellowstone” creator.

“I don’t know why I look like I’m always on my way to socking someone in the face, but I was about to hug the sh*t out of this guy, because Mr. T is the GOAT, darn it,” Landon wrote on her Instagram story.

She didn’t stop there, however. The rest of her Instagram story saw her having a hilarious time with Jake actor Jake Ream. Each time a “Yellowstone” fan approached their table and wanted a one-on-one selfie with Luke Grimes, Jen and Jake would take their own silly selfie.

Why ‘Yellowstone’ Star Jen Landon’s Love Interest on the Show Didn’t Think She’d Get the Job

Fans of “Yellowstone” know full well how much of a character Jen Landon’s Teeter truly is. But none know this better than Denim Richards, who plays Colby, Teeter’s love interest.

Their dynamic on screen isn’t that far off what Richards’ first impression was when he saw Landon’s audition tape. Apparently, he wasn’t sold.

“Taylor was really excited about this character and I remember when I had the opportunity to see her audition tape. She’s super cool and has lots of energy but aren’t we suppose to understand what she says?” Richards explained.

Richards was, of course, referring to the accent Jen Landon affects for the sake of her southern character. Fortunately, the choices on the part of Taylor Sheridan and Landon herself have proven popular.

Fans can’t get enough of the way Colby and Teeter interact. And it’s promising, considering Landon only just joined the cast for Season 3. And yes, you’d be correct for noting the genre similarities between Jen Landon’s role as a ranch hand in “Yellowstone” and her father’s iconic Cartwright character on “Bonanza.”

“There’s a tremendous synchronicity about the whole thing. It’s been a very emotional experience at times,” Landon told Pepper Stewart at the Careity Foundation Celebrity Cutting in 2020.
