Forrie J Smith, who plays Lloyd on the hit show Yellowstone, has announced the end of filming for Season 4 of TV’s top drama.

Smith posted on Instagram, captioning the two photos with “My last days of filming Season 4! Stay tuned y’all! #yellowstonetv #yellowstone4fans#paramountnetwork #cowboy#justinboots“.

Forrie J Smith, a Real-Life Cowboy

Smith became a regular cast member of the Paramount Network show in Season 3 and is continuing his role as Lloyd, the ranch hand of “Dutton Ranch”, on Season 4.

He is perfect for the role. Not only does he show off killer cowboy skills while filming, but he is an authentic cowboy in real life, along with being a Hollywood stunt man and actor.

Smith started competing in the rodeo when he was 8 years old, but as he told the Rodeo News, it was the family business. In addition to his father and grandfather being skilled in the rodeo, his mother was a barrel racer.

“I use a lot of the things I learned from rodeo in the film industry – like breaking things down into steps, thinking positive and not being negative,” says Smith. “Thinking about what you did wrong and forgetting it; thinking about what you did right and building on it. Hurry up and wait – that’s all learned from rodeo.”

Yellowstone is Smith’s first big break as a series regular, and he has been very vocal about his love for the show.

“I give Taylor a big kiss on the cheek for bringing our culture to the forefront and making a great show out of it,” he says. “It means a lot to me, but it’s kind of too late. They’ve already got the water table sucked down. They’ve already subdivided a lot of good grazing land. But [Yellowstone] is telling our story. And I’m glad to see that getting out.”

The show’s creator, Taylor Sheridan, takes authenticity very seriously when it comes to TV’s top drama.

Season 3 Finale Recap

Season 3 left fans thinking the upcoming season will return with a violent beginning, seeing as the Season 3 finale had fans on the edge of their seats.

As the tension builds between Market Equities and Dutton Ranch throughout Season 3, the next season is expected to be full of drama.

By the end of the Season 3 finale, Beth, John and Kayce were all in mortal danger. Jimmy wasn’t doing too well either after being bucked off a horse.

The fourth season of the hit Paramount Network was announced before season 3 even premiered in June 2020. With filming wrapping up, it’s expected to be released in 2021, which isn’t soon enough for viewers. After so many cliffhangers, Season 4 of Yellowstone is one of the most highly-anticipated premieres.

Cole Hauser, who plays Rip, also posted about finishing filming season 4 on Nov. 14. He revealed the development on Instagram.

“Finished Yellowstone S4 yesterday. Landed in #puertorico last night. This is my new movie #panama. Inspired by true events in 1989. Pics to come!” he captioned his photo.
