LaMonica Garrett is making a habit out of spending time around cowboys. The 1883 star was recently spotted next to famous UFC fighter Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.

We just learned last month that the highly-anticipated Yellowstone prequel series was adding LaMonica Garrett to its already star-studded cast. For those who may not be familiar with Garrett, he is actually a former professional Slamball player. But he is perhaps best known for playing the role of Sheriff Cane in Sons of Anarchy from 2011 until 2014. He has also made appearances in Designated Survivor and Primal. And he played Mar Novu / Monitor and Anti-Monitor in the Arrowverse.

Now, however, he will be joining the cast of 1883. As a result, he will have the luxury of working with fellow stars like Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill. Production of the series started last month down in Fort Worth, Texas, and it definitely has Yellowstone fans excited.

As for LaMonica Garrett, he must really be trying to get into character. Because he is surrounded during the day by Elliott and McGraw who star as two cowboys in 1883. But even on his day off, Garrett was spotted with another cowboy in UFC fighter Donald Cerrone. Take a look down below:

‘1883’ Will Be ‘Epic and ‘Huge’

With each passing day, the cast of 1883 seems to grow. And creator Taylor Sheridan is letting just anyone join in on the fun. He is hiring some of the biggest stars in all of the entertainment industry. Just like his show Yellowstone has been a smashing hit with fans, there is no reason to think that’s its prequel, 1883, will be anything less than that.

Sheridan is on record as saying, “Look, this is not going to be an easy or inexpensive show to make. This is going to be epic and huge and I want to tell it in the scope as if I were making a 10-hour movie.”

Since then, the highly-regarded Yellowstone creator has brought on Elliott, McGraw, Hill, and now Garrett. So, yeah, it’s safe to say that he is going all out for this series. As we mentioned above, production has already begun in Texas. As a matter of fact, Sheridan said that they have built an entire 1800s town in the stockyards of Fort Worth.

According to Deadline, the upcoming series will have an insane budget of over $10 million per episode. To put things into perspective, that’s even more expensive than the cost of every episode up to this date of Yellowstone. We can’t wait for what’s to come.
