Did This Eagle-Eyed ‘Yellowstone’ Fan Just Discover ‘Mystery Man’ Who Planted Bomb at Beth’s Office?

Of all the mysteries posed by the hit Paramount Network series “Yellowstone,” one stands out above the rest.

“Who attacked the Duttons?”

It’s the question that every “Yellowstone” fan is asking themselves since the end of the third season. In the third season finale, John, Kayce and Beth Dutton come under attack as the final seconds of the episode tick away. John and Kayce are fired upon by unknown gunmen and the status of both men is unclear at this time. It might be Beth, however, who gets the worse end of the attack. She receives a mysterious package at her office that turns out to be a bomb. The bomb detonates when Beth’s assistant unwittingly opens the package. Beth is only a few feet from the powerful explosion. Like her father and brother, Beth’s status is unclear heading into “Yellowstone” season four.

Now, one eagle-eyed fan thinks they may have discovered who is behind the bombing plot. The “Yellowstone” fan lays out their very interesting theory in a recent Reddit thread.

“Okay, in one of the commercials there was a very brief clip with the shot of a man’s right arm, weathered handshaking, wearing a thin-striped blue and white long-sleeved shirt, holding a cigarette with brick strewn about the ground near him,” the fan writes.

The fan then deduces a very unlikely character could be behind the attack on Beth Dutton. Their theory points to a member of the bunkhouse who is a favorite among “Yellowstone” fans.

‘Yellowstone’ Theory says Lloyd Could be Behind Attack

“After Lloyd and Walker frisbee Wade and son’s carcasses into the train station and they’re in the truck talking — hold on to your hats kiddies — Lloyd has the exact same shirt on!” the Redditor proclaims.” It is the same size stripes and the same shade of blue. He also had on a copper link bracelet.”

Alright, this is a very far out there theory and you would have a hard time convincing anyone that Lloyd is behind the attacks on the Dutton family. Still, this is some mighty fine detective work by an obviously dedicated “Yellowstone” fan.

While the odds of Lloyd attacking the family he works for are extremely low, we know to expect the unexpected with this show. Why would the loyal senior “Yellowstone” ranch hand want to kill the Dutton?

Maybe he’s tired of playing second fiddle to Rip Wheeler and Kayce Dutton and wants to be in charge of the ranch. Maybe he was mistreated by the Dutton family at some point during his time on Yellowstone Ranch. Perhaps someone gave a boatload of cash to betray the Duttons.

These are all admittedly reaches but it is fun to speculate. With “Yellowstone” returning in a little over a month the time for speculation is quickly coming to an end.
