Paramount+: How to Stream ‘Yellowstone’ and Other New Taylor Sheridan Shows

Get ready. Paramount+ celebrates its official launch next Thursday. And some of you all may already have it.

Paramount+ is the new name for CBS All Access, but with far more original content and a bulkier library of shows and movies. The new version launches on March 4. And it’ll include more live sports, news and on-demand content. Previously, CBS All-Access featured shows that were on CBS, BET, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, MTV and the Smithsonian Channel. And it had several original series, including “Star Trek: Picard” and “The Good Fight,” which is a spinoff of “The Good Wife.”

The changes are significant.

“This is not your father’s Viacom, and it’s not my father’s either,” said Shari Redstone, chairwoman of ViacomCBS and daughter of the late Sumner Redstone, the billionaire who was majority shareholder for ViacomCBS.

“This is a ViacomCBS that’s been reimagined for a new kind of marketplace and a new kind of consumer.”

Paramount+ Includes Episodes of “Yellowstone” Along with Original Content From Taylor Sheridan

Yellowstone fans will be able to stream the three seasons on Paramount+. However, there is no official premiere date for season four. Taylor Sheridan, who created Yellowstone, announced new projects earlier this week for Paramount+. The shows include “Yellowstone” spinoff “6666,” “Land Man” and “The Mayor of Kingstown.” We already knew about the “Yellowstone” prequel, “Y:1883.

There will be two tiers of Paramount+ — eventually. The $4.99 tier launches in June. That will be a subscription with ads. Without ads is $9.99.

Paramount+ is expected to have as many as 75 million subscribers within the next three years.

The new streaming service will be home to everything Star Trek, much like Disney+ is with the Stars Wars franchise.

Other original content includes “Halo,” based on the Xbox game franchise. That show will move from Showtime to the streaming service early next year. There are plans for new series based on the movies “Love Story,” “The Italian Job,” “Fatal Attraction” and “Flashdance.”

There will be a revival of “Frasier.” Kelsey Grammer returns as Dr. Frasier Crane, but it’s unclear how many other actors from the original show will sign on for the reboot. Plus the series “Younger” will move to the streaming service for its seventh and final season. Amy Schumer will return with new comedy shows. And there will be spinoffs of “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” and “Sixty Minutes.”

The movie library includes some classics. You can watch “Titanic,” Forrest Gump” and all the movies in the “Indiana Jones” and “Mission: Impossible” franchises.
