Yellowstone star Forrie J. Smith has posted a fun montage, set to the tune of Toby Keith’s “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” of himself and his co-stars visiting a Texas rodeo.

“Wait I am a Cowboy!!!” Smith captioned the post, which includes images of himself, Beth Dutton actress Kelly Reilly, Mo actor Mo Brings Plenty and Teeter actress Jen Landon, among others.

This past Friday, Smith, Reilly and Jimmy actor Jefferson White appeared before a sold-out crowd at Fort Worth’s Will Rogers Memorial Center to help the Careity Foundation, a Texas charity that serves low-income cancer patients. Reilly reportedly gave a rousing pep talk at the event, wowing Yellowstone fans with her charm and her lilting English accent.

Yellowstone Stars Took Part in Celebrity Cutting Competition

Every year, the Careity Foundation hosts a celebrity cutting competition to benefit low-income cancer patients. This year, Smith, White and former Dallas Cowboys tight end Jay Novacek took part in the cutting competition. Reilly served as honorary host, along with Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan’s wife Nicole.

The Yellowstone stars acknowledged the show’s popularity in comments to local news station WFAA. They said they’re proud of what the cast and crew has accomplished, and they were happy to be in Fort Worth to help the foundation.

“I’m so proud of the work,” Reilly told WFAA. “I’m proud to be part of the show, and it’s exciting.”

Smith said Dutton ranch hand Lloyd is the best part he’s gotten in his 30-plus years in the business. And he said he hoped to “put some change in the world” by lending his star power to the charity cutting competition.

For his part, White was self-effacing about his own cowboying skills. A neophyte when he joined the Yellowstone cast, White, like his character Jimmy, has made significant strides.

“Failure is a huge part of learning,” White quipped at the event. “Everybody remember that.”

What’s Next for Lloyd?

Meanwhile, in Season 4 of Yellowstone, Smith’s character Lloyd is at a bit of a crossroads. He’s landed on Rip’s (Cole Hauser) bad side by letting his pride come before the ranch and getting into a brawl with Walker (Ryan Bingham) over a woman. Lloyd wants Walker dead, and so does Rip, for that matter, but John Dutton (Kevin Costner) is the boss at the ranch, and what Dutton says goes.

Dutton has noticed that something’s up with Lloyd, and he’s not happy about it. Will Lloyd be able to pull himself out of his recent tailspin and return to his bosses’ good graces? Yellowstone fans will soon find out. The next episodeairs tonight at 8 p.m. ET on the Paramount Network.
