Yellowstone Season 4 is upon us, and fans are beyond nervous for the premiere’s reveals – especially when it comes to one crucial character.

“Is anyone else SO READY for this premiere but also so nervous?” posts u/heyyy760 to Reddit’s active Yellowstone board ahead of Sunday’s big event. As you can imagine, pretty much every other fan reveals they’re nervous, too. And with said nerves comes wishing, hoping, and praying for their favorite characters’ survival.

At the top of the list is the only Dutton daughter, Beth. Beth Dutton has become as iconic as Yellowstone itself. Kelly Reilly’s beyond-brilliant portrayal has earned her a fierce following, and fans are not ready to see her go. At all.

“Beth MUST live!!” shouts Redditor andrealschultz1, to which another fan replies “Yes please please please please please…”

It’s a sentiment echoed several times over, with some fans going as far as to say there is “no Yellowstone” without Beth. And honestly, as incredible as Kevin Costner’s John and Cole Hauser’s Rip are, it’s hard to disagree.

“I’M SO ANXIOUS ABOUT THE FATE OF BETH. Its literally the difference between me continuing to watch the show or considering walking away,” comments female_gazing09.

“I agree. No Beth, no show for me,” responds Jalynt13. “Beth has to be okay omg, otherwise I’m done,” another Yellowstone fan adds. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.

In short: the answer is Beth. Ahead of the Season 4 premiere, Yellowstone fans are deeply concerned for her survival.

‘Yellowstone’ Fans Refuse to Let Beth Dutton Go

It’s an odd thought at first, but the show truly would be crippled without Beth above any other Dutton. Luke Grimes is wonderful as Kayce Dutton, but having a son makes him disposable. Tate can carry on the legacy in the future. Rip Wheeler is another riveting fan favorite, but he isn’t a Dutton proper and is far from essential, as entertaining as he is.

And then there’s Kevin Costner – the heavyweight that brought gravitas to Yellowstone to begin with. Sadly, however, as the old-timer patriarch he is, his death/absence would only fuel his children’s determination and vengeance tenfold. Seeing JD go would hurt, but it wouldn’t cripple the show.

The Death of Beth Dutton, however… Now that would take the heart directly out of Yellowstone and rid it of it’s only true female lead.

Thankfully, Redditor nintylcoup says they “read an article where Cole Hauser was interviewed and he alluded to the fact that Beth lives. Let’s hope it wasn’t BS!”

Let’s hope, indeed. After all, fans are so invested that we’re seeing responses like this one across the board:

“I’m feeling the same way I feel during the hours leading up to a Bama football game, even more so this year!”

We’ll know Beth’s fate (for the time being, at least) shortly. Yellowstone Season 4 premieres on Paramount Network Sunday night at 7 PM Eastern.
