We all know that the holiday season gathers family around the table, but nobody gathers around the dinner table like the Dutton family in the hit TV series “Yellowstone.”
The Dutton’s are hardly ever getting along, and they never put their differences aside for a family meal. This funny mash-up of videos on the “Yellowstone” Twitter account shows exactly what we mean.
The caption reads, “Wishing everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving! #YellowstoneTV“
John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner, is always at the head of the table and ready to talk business. However, his daughter Beth, taken on by Kelly Reilly, doesn’t want any shop talk taking place at the table.
The seats are slowly starting to fill at the table. At the beginning of the series, Costner is often seen sitting by himself. But as “Yellowstone” progresses, more of his children start to join him. Jaime, played by Wes Bentley, obediently does what Costner says and it often bullied by his sister.
Kayce, played by Luke Grimes, and his wife, Monica (Kelsey Chow), and son Tate (Brecken Merrill) have joined the tumultuous family for various meals. There’s always sure to be some drama at the table, and I don’t think we’ve seen Reilly make it through one complete meal. But that’s what Costner says, I don’t think she’s made it through a whole meal since she was 11.”
All in all, this is what could be imagined if a Dutton Thanksgiving did take place during the “Yellowstone” series.
Fans Love the ‘Yellowstone’ Thanksgiving Share
Followers of “Yellowstone” are loving the post sent out this Thanksgiving. One person even agrees with us on Beth’s angry exits from the dinner table.
But will Beth stay through the entire dinner? 😂

Another fan asks about Rip and when is he going to get a seat at the table. We wonder this both figuratively and literally for the number one wrangler.
When are we going to see #RipWheeler join the family dinner circle… I would pay good money to see that! 😂😂 pic.twitter.com/GSARDAC3wc

This person understands the discomforts of a dysfunctional family. They write, “Too funny. You should film a Thanksgiving Special! All the dysfunctional families out there would really appreciate it.”

We think it’s safe to say that this is a very accurate portrayal of what a Dutton family Thanksgiving would look like.
