‘Yellowstone’: Cole Hauser Says Rip Wheeler’s ‘Spider Tentacles’ Are Up for Jamie

Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) has not made it this far without honing certain instincts. And in the Season 3 finale of “Yellowstone,” when Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) tells Rip not to call him anymore, Rip’s alarm bells definitely go off.

In the new Season 4 teaser that “Yellowstone” posted to its official Twitter account, Hauser doubles back to that moment with Jamie and explains what it means for Rip in Season 4.

“Obviously, my spider tentacles are up for Jamie,” Hauser said of his character’s sense about the new Montana attorney general.

After Season 3 Finale, It’s Up to Rip to Deliver Vengeance

As Season 4 begins, Rip’s boss, John Dutton (Kevin Costner), is lying bloodied and unconscious by the side of the road after a drive-by shooting. Rip’s fiancée, Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly), just disappeared into an explosion that tore through her office. And Rip’s soon-to-be brother-in-law, Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes), is facing off against a pack of armed intruders at his office.

As if that weren’t bad enough, the Dutton Ranch also appears to come under attack, judging by footage from previous trailers and teasers, potentially placing Lloyd (Forrie J. Smith), Monica (Kelsey Asbille) and Tate (Brecken Merrill) in danger, as well.

Who ordered the attacks? Was it one enemy coordinating them? Or multiple enemies acting in concert? And will the Duttons survive to see Season 4?

It looks like it’s up to Rip to piece together who’s to blame for the attacks. And “Yellowstone” fans can be sure he’ll rain down vengeance upon whoever went after the Dutton family. Hauser himself suggested as much in a recent Deadline Contenders Television interview.

“Everybody’s in danger in Montana after that,” Hauser said.

Or, as Hauser put it in the teaser: “Everybody’s gonna get f—ed up.”

‘Yellowstone’ Season 4 Is Almost Here

It’s been a long wait for “Yellowstone” fans, who expected Season 4 to premiere when the last three seasons did, in June. But now at last their patience is about to pay off. Season 4 is set to premiere Sunday, Nov. 7.

The two-hour season premiere should also be interesting in terms of ratings. The Season 3 premiere and Season 3 finale both set new ratings records. So the Season 4 premiere numbers will be something to watch.

In the meantime, “Yellowstone” fans have been busy on social media and on Reddit, venting about the delay and swapping theories, questions and opinions on the show. And by the end of Season 3, there were more “Yellowstone” fans than ever before. But for the top drama on cable, the sky’s the limit.
