“This is NOT a fight scene” captions Jeremy Renner in this new behind-the-scenes look with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan.
Now that he’s finished up filming Marvel’s Hawkeye series for Disney+, superstar Jeremy Renner is rolling on to Paramount+. So many pluses.
Speaking of pluses, Renner is suiting up with Yellowstone mastermind Jeremy Renner to tackle his newest show, Mayor of Kingstown! This seems like a match made in Western heaven to us, and Outsider is beyond stoked for Sheridan’s latest to hit Paramount’s streaming service.
Renner is, as well. Recently, he shared this behind-the-scenes shot with Sheridan to his official Instagram. The gents are looking mighty sharp, with Sheridan laying down some law right before the Marvel star’s eyes.
“This is NOT a fight scene. It’s just how the director and I communicate,” Renner says with a laughing emoji. He and Sheridan look to be getting along famously, too, as he includes a “#lovethisdude” in his post with the Yellowstone creator.

‘Yellowstone’ Creator to Deliver ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Next
Deadline broke the news early this year that Jeremy Renner would be leading Taylor Sheridan’s Mayor of Kingstown. While fans were initially divided on his casting, Outsider has no doubt it’ll deliver.
Mayor will center around the McLusky family of Kingstown, Michigan. The dynasty is a major player in this community, and it’s all thanks to their hold over local prison business. Deadline describes the series as follows:
“Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality, the series provides a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither.”
Taylor Sheridan will also be executive producing “Mayor of Kingstown” alongside story credits and directing. Joining him are Hugh Dillon, Renner, Antoine Fuqua, David Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari and Michael Friedman.
Of Paramount’s major investment in Sheridan, MTV Entertainment Group’s President, Chris McCarthy, says “‘Yellowstone is the #1 show with tens of millions of fans based on the characters Taylor has created and his gift for world building… With Paramount+, our strategy is to supercharge subscribers by franchising our biggest hit IP like we’re doing with Yellowstone prequel ‘Y:1883’ and build new IP with marquee creative talent like Taylor.”
