“Yellowstone” co-creator Taylor Sheridan’s wife and son have been going fishing, and the little guy landed a pretty substantial striper along the way.
“Morning from Possum Kingdom #thatsmyboy,” Nic Sheridan posted to Instagram Monday morning. Accompanying that caption was a picture of the duo out on a beautiful lake, with her son brandishing a fish.
Taylor Sheridan Is a Busy Man
As for the “Yellowstone” co-creator himself, he’s been fairly busy of late. Sheridan has multiple irons in the fire, from “Yellowstone” to “Yellowstone” prequel “1883” to “Yellowstone” spinoff “6666” to “Mayor of Kingstown” to “Lioness.”
The Western pro also managed to continue churning out scripts for “Yellowstone” even as he was directing the Angelina Jolie movie “Those Who Wish Me Dead.” He told Deadline last year that he wrote on weekends, getting relatively little sleep, in order to preserve the show’s authenticity.
More recently, the writer and director even took time out to appear in a “Yellowstone” Season 4 behind-the-scenes featurette. In it, he shed some light on where his own storyline is headed after the Season 3 finale.
“It was a devastating attack against the family,” Sheridan said of the events of last season. “So we gotta figure out who’s left to look into it. And that’s my goal.”

‘Yellowstone’ Season 4 Is Right Around the Corner
Meanwhile, “Yellowstone” fans have almost reached the end of a very long wait. The previous three seasons have all premiered in June, so fans figured, with some justification, that Season 4 would be no different. But June came and went with no premiere, and fans started to get restless. Then word leaked out that Season 4 would premiere in November.
In the intervening months, fans have kept themselves busy debating pet theories, plot holes and favorite characters on Reddit. They have started the countdown to Season 4. They have discussed comparable Westerns to “Yellowstone.” And they have come to the show’s defense when faced with critiques.
Now the Season 4 premiere is right around the corner. With just 20 days left until “Yellowstone” returns with new episodes, “Yellowstone” fans’ devotion is soon to be rewarded with some epic Western drama. Will all the fan favorite characters survive? Will Beth and Rip finally tie the knot? And will Rip rain down vengeance upon whomever attacked the Duttons?
There’s only one way to find out: tune in for the two-hour Season 4 premiere on Sunday, Nov. 7.
