Paramount Network’s “Yellowstone” gets high reviews. But how does it shape up against other top-rated series?
“Yellowstone” is one of the most-watched cable shows from last year. In fact, the season three finale is 2020s most-watched live cable telecast.
According to The Wrap, it had a total of 5.2 million viewers.
However, with other top shows like “The Mandalorian,” “The Queen’s Gambit,” “Dead to Me,” “Flight Attendant,” and others getting lots of attention, it’s curious as to how the Kevin Costner show looks.
Fan Rankings of ‘Yellowstone’
For fans, it is sitting pretty on their 2020 lists as one of their top shows.
Fans on Twitter shared their lists and “Yellowstone” appeared at the top of many of them.
“Yellowstone” released 10 episodes this year for fans to enjoy. When the Emmys rolled around, fans were in disbelief that the show had no nominations. Now, given people’s 2020 list, the love still goes deep.
While it wasn’t up for any Emmys, the show did receive American Society of Cinematographers, Hollywood Post Alliance, and International Film Critics Awards. Some of the nominations were for Outstanding Sound and Best Original Score for a Television Series.
Outlets like Esquire, Rolling Stone, and The Atlantic all had different ideas for what their top shows of the year were. “Yellowstone” did not make it on the list.
While it can’t be everyone’s No.1, many fans agree it at least deserves a spot in the rankings.
“Yellowstone” will continue likely later this year. Season four finished in 2020. Also, another season will probably be around sometime in the summer of 2021.
