‘Yellowstone’: John Dutton Teaches Carter to Ride in New Clip

John Dutton gives Carter a quick horse riding lesson in a new clip from this week’s “Yellowstone” episode.

The almost-minute-long clip came out right before Sunday’s show, and it didn’t disappoint. Classic John Dutton bristles at the teenager’s lack of riding and attitude.

Dutton walks in on Carter, saddling a horse. Carter asks if he’s riding solo, and Dutton gives an affirmative answer. The patriarch then asks the kid if he knows how to ride, with Carter responding no. But he adds, “if there were an Olympic medal for shoveling crap, he’d win a medal.”

We take that to the meaning he’s a fast learner, by the way. Dutton’s not thrilled by that response, but hey, if you can’t ride at a ranch, what good are you? Dutton knows this. So he orders the boy to get himself a saddled horse.

Carter instantly starts to glow, and Dutton barks at him to hurry up. Just another heartwarming moment at the Dutton Ranch, folks.

Last week, we learned that Dutton asked Rip if he and Beth would head into the main house with Carter. This week, we’ll see if that pays off.

Twitter loved the moment with one user named Rob Kinnin responding, “Carter is a welcomed addition to the Yellowstone.” Other “Yellowstone” Twitter folk love Carter’s dialogue.

Who Is “Yellowstone” Actor Finn Little?

Australian actor Finn Little broke into the American entertainment market with “Yellowstone” series creator Taylor Sheridan’s “Those Who Wish Me Dead.”

Screen Rant loved the film. It featured the movie’s popularity among Rotten Tomatoes users and said it was one of the ten best movies to hit HBO Max in 2021.

Little’s film came out worldwide in May after a two-year pandemic delay. According to IMDb, Sheridan was so impressed with the star that he wrote him into “Yellowstone.”

So far, the teenager has performed in nine episodes.

A Little Love On Social Media

Two days ago, Little posted an Instagram photo with castmate Cole Hauser to promote the upcoming show. Ed Sheeran’s “Beautiful People” featured in the background. Fans lit up the post, wishing him well.

One Instagram fan, Beth Pellandini, said, “Great to see smiles at the lodge. See y’all Sunday.️”

Little showed off his oyster love in another recent Instagram post and slurped some up. One “Yellowstone” fan responded that he needed an “oyster spoon from Yellowstone table!” He added that “they never use them, Beth said.”

Little responded that “ooo! A Yellowstone’ oyster spoon’ would have been an amazing souvenir…. Wish I’d thought of that a year or so ago.”

Right now, the teenager enjoys life and seeing the “Yellowstone” fans enjoy his performance. We don’t know what he’s working on next, but it’s easy to see his character develop on the popular show.
