‘Yellowstone’ Star Kevin Costner Shares Holiday Message As He Looks Forward To New Episode

Kevin Costner welcomed “Yellowstone” fans back from the holidays and ask what family members were watching this Sunday’s episode.

The 66-year-old actor who plays John Dutton on the show shared a scene photo of himself walking out of court to the delight of many female “Yellowstone” fans.

One Twitter user Dawn Just replied, “Me me me!! No family, but I’m watching like family.”

“Yellowstone” Actor Shows Off His Outdoorsman Truck

Of course, outdoors-lover Kevin Costner has a badass Toyota Tundra truck to drive around. The actor’s got a Colorado ranch and recently went duck hunting in Arkansas.

A Motorious article said the actor customized his truck in McKinney, Texas. It comes with a unique suspension, side steps, two custom safes, and sliding storage boxes.

Kevin Costner is also not the old truck driver as his wife and three children use it. It makes sense that he had monitors installed in the front headrests and a padded area for the kids to sleep comfortably.

“Yellowstone” Actor’s Presidental Movie Celebrates 30 Years

Last week, Kevin Costner’s “JFK” movie came out 30 years ago. The movie, based on the presidential assassination of John F. Kennedy, was filmed in only 72 days.

Director Oliver Stone wanted Costner because of the actor’s successful 1987 “Untouchables” film. According to IMBD, Costner got the lead in both “Untouchables” and “JFK” after other blockbuster stars Mel Gibson and Harrison Ford turned those leading roles down.

Kevin Costner was making hit-after-hit movies, with “Dances With Wolves” coming out the year before. The actor won two Academy Awards for that film. “JFK” and “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves” came out the same year.

According to IMDb, Costner once revealed in an interview that he rehearsed his rather long trial summation to the jury while in the swimming pool, with his mother correcting him from the script. He was 36 years old at the time.

Kevin Costner’s had his share of movie flops over the years as well. After “Waterworld” and “The Postman,” the actor seemed to fall out of his hit streak for a few years.

But one dud starring Ashton Kucher in 2006 has made a resurgence on Netflix. “The Guardian” made $95 million on its $70 million budget that year. The Coast Guard movie came out after a few notable hurricanes in 2005 and then revisions after Hurricane Katrina.

Many liked the Coast Guard involvement in the film, like how many Navy Seals are involved in the Paramount+ SEAL Team series. The New York Times liked that their participation gave the movie an “authentic look” but didn’t like the film overall. Other reviewers saw through all of the cliches.

But in 2021, the film has found a way into Netflix’s current Top 25 picks.
