In the new trailer for Season 4 of “Yellowstone,” we get to see a bit more of new addition Finn Little, who plays Carter, a young derelict who somehow shows up on the Dutton Ranch.

Carter reportedly reminds Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) of a young Rip Wheeler, and she decides she and Rip (Cole Hauser) should take the youth under their wing. Little has been billed as a new series regular, so it looks like his character is on the Dutton Ranch to stay.

In the trailer, we briefly see Carter with a cigarette in his mouth, riding in the passenger seat of a vehicle. Could he be riding shotgun with Rip? John Dutton (Kevin Costner)? Looks like we may have to wait until Season 4 premieres to find out.

Finn Little Starred in ‘Yellowstone’ Co-Creator Taylor Sheridan’s Recent Film

Little previously starred in the Taylor Sheridan-helmed film “Those Who Wish Me Dead,” alongside Angelina Jolie and Nicholas Hoult. The tyke evidently captured the “Yellowstone” co-creator’s imagination, because here he is again in a major Sheridan project.

At 15, Little is the next-to-youngest actor on set. He’s second only to Brecken Merrill, who plays Tate Dutton. And like Merrill, he is an enthusiastic poster on social media, where he has given fans some behind-the-scenes looks at the set in Montana.

All told, it looks like Little is an enthusiastic addition to a great ensemble cast.

John Dutton Rescued Young Rip Wheeler

Young Rip Wheeler (Kyle Red Silverstein) turned up in John Dutton’s barn one day covered in blood and dirt, and with a horrific backstory to boot. Dutton, guessing at the truth, nonetheless decided to take the boy in.

And lo these many years later, that shaken youth has become Dutton’s loyal and sure-footed enforcer, ruthlessly disposing of problems for the ranch that Jamie (Wes Bentley) couldn’t fix. Unbeknownst to Dutton, he’s also been Beth’s sweetheart for a very long time.

Will the Dutton Ranch provide a home for a new troubled youth? Will Beth and Rip become adoptive parents to Carter? Or will the new youngster prove too much for them?

“Yellowstone” fans can look forward to the two-hour Season 4 premiere on Sunday, Nov. 7 for clues as to the answers. It’s just a month and a half away now, and it looks like “Yellowstone” will be keeping fans interested with a steady stream of teasers and trailers in the meantime.
