Is ‘Yellowstone’ Season 4 Going to Be on Peacock?

With Season 4 of “Yellowstone” premiering in just two and a half months, fans want to know the best way to catch the new season on their TVs.

For those who haven’t watched yet or those who want to rewatch before the new season drops, Peacock is the only streaming service with past seasons available. Viewers can watch the first season on Peacock’s free subscription, or they can pay $4.99 to $9.99 a month to watch all three seasons.

But for the fourth season, Express reports that “Yellowstone” and MTV Entertainment Group have not revealed whether you can watch the new weekly episodes on Peacock.

For context, the Paramount Network cable channel used to be the only place you could watch the show. The first three seasons, which dropped in 2018-2020, would air each episode every week only on cable. So, cable-cutters had no concrete way to watch the show.

Now, people without cable hoping to catch the new season will have to wait for Paramount’s announcement about streaming options.

Where Could ‘Yellowstone’ Potentially Stream?

Essentially, the network has two options for releasing “Yellowstone” on a streaming service. They can continue to let Peacock air the new season, or they can shift all of their “Yellowstone” content over to their own streaming service, Paramount+.

According to CNET, Paramount might be more tempted to keep “Yellowstone” on Peacock for cost reasons. Paramount could earn more money just by licensing the show to Peacock than they would by getting people to sign up for Paramont+.

On the other hand, Paramount is trying to drum up more interest in their own streaming service. When Deadline dropped the new premiere date for “Yellowstone” Season 4, they also released info about two new Taylor Sheridan shows. The “Yellowstone” prequel show, “1883,” will premiere exclusively on Paramount+. So will the other new show, “Mayor of Kingstown.”

With Paramount launching new “Yellowstone” shows on their own streaming service, it seems more likely that Season 4 will also drop on Paramount+. But nothing’s been confirmed by the network just yet.

What To Expect From Season 4

Fans can’t wait to watch the new season, especially with all the cliffhangers left off at the end of Season 3.

When we last saw the Dutttons, mysterious men just shot Kevin Costner’s character John on the side of the road. His daughter Beth may or may not be okay after a mysterious package blew up her office. And his son Kayce had to fight for his life in a gunfight.

Hopefully, with “Yellowstone” premiering the first two episodes of the season on Nov. 7, all of our questions will be answered right off the bat. For now, all we can do is break down each and every frame of the 30-second teaser trailer that dropped with the premiere date.
