‘Yellowstone’ Season 4 Trailer Released

“Yellowstone” has released a new trailer for Season 4, and it’s sharpening the suspense ahead of the Nov. 7 premiere date.

The hit Paramount Network series has already released one trailer (watch it here). In it, we see Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) coming across John Dutton (Kevin Costner) by the side of the road, bloodied and unconscious. Rip runs over to him and begs him to hold on.

“John, don’t you die on me now,” Rip pleads. “Not like this. You hear me?”

As for the new trailer – no spoilers – you can watch it below:

‘Yellowstone’ Season 4 Picks Up After Epic Cliffhanger

Throughout Season 3, the Dutton family had been working to thwart Market Equities, a hedge fund that calls itself “too big to fail,” as it made a play for a major parcel of John Dutton’s land. In a climactic season finale showdown, Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) tried to stop them, only to find out that she had filed crucial paperwork in the wrong state. Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley), the Montana attorney general and her adopted brother, then took charge and accepted the hedge fund’s offer on behalf of the family.

Luckily, another obstacle appeared in the form of a class-action environmental impact lawsuit organized by Chief Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) and Angela Blue Thunder (Q’orianka Kilcher), frenemies of the Duttons who aren’t wild about having the hedge fund in their valley, either. As the assembled parties departed, things were looking up a bit for the Dutton Ranch.

But that respite was short-lived. Soon after the meeting, John came under fire in a drive-by shooting. Beth disappeared in an explosion that engulfed her office after her assistant opened a suspicious package. And Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) was besieged by a pack of intruders at his office.

It remains to be seen if the attacks are connected or not. And it’s unclear whether Market Equities’ Roarke (Josh Holloway) was following through on his threat to treat this gambit like an oil deal in Yemen, or if other parties are to blame.

But as fans have suggested, Rip is certainly likely to rain down violence upon whomever is responsible for the attacks. The question is, do all three Duttons survive?

Paramount Network Has Kept Fans Waiting

As “Yellowstone” has promised, Season 4 looks like it’s going to be worth the wait. And wait is what fans have done. The past three seasons have premiered in June; “Yellowstone” fans had no reason to anticipate this year would be any different.

When June came and went with no premiere, speculation flourished online as to what was going on. They had to shoot more scenes? They didn’t want to conflict with the Olympics? Then, finally, news leaked out that Season 4 would premiere in November.

It was later than most “Yellowstone” fans would have preferred, but at least they knew how long they had left to go. In the meantime, the show has maintained a steady drumbeat of marathons, montages, teasers and, now, trailers to keep fans interested. And just two short months from now, all that waiting will finally pay off.
