Yellowstone performer Lainey Wilson is a huge fan of the show’s creator, Taylor Sheridan.

The singer-songwriter discussed how the television visionary pairs music and episodes together. He’s been extremely supportive of musicians over the course of his career and has given people like Wilson some amazing opportunities.

“I can’t say enough about Taylor Sheridan, his work,” Wilson said. “And the way he supports and champions music alongside his projects. What he’s created with the show Yellowstone is something special.”

Wilson grew up in the rodeo world as her father was a horse trader and farmer. Obviously, Wilson can relate to the Yellowstone series in more ways than one.

“My parents put me on a horse before I could walk,” she admitted. “So when I sit down to watch this show, it reminds me so much of my childhood and the cowboy that raised me. The show is full of characters who stand up for what they believe in and strive for good character – two things I think a man surely oughta know.”

When Wilson finished watching the first season, she “felt just a connection right away to this show.”

“So many people love the music that goes along with it,” she added. ”So, when I got the call that I was gonna have a song on Yellowstone, I freaked out. I was just so dang excited. It’s been a huge blessing for me, and this really is introducing my music to a whole different audience.”

A ‘Yellowstone’ Wedding

Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser finally tied the knot on Yellowstone as Beth and Rip! The best part? It earned both actors’ seals of approval.

“Even as an actor we’re sitting there and we’re trying to put all the things together and connect all the dots and you’re like, ‘This is f**king crazy,’ you know what I mean?” Hauser told ET of the wedding scene. “It all comes together and there’s actually this beautiful moment there. I thought it was pretty touching in the end.”

Obviously, things were rushed as they didn’t know if Wheeler would spend time in jail.

“I mean the way it went down was pretty wild,” Hauser added. “Her storming in and her gold dress, her dad [Kevin Costner as John Dutton] and I looking at her and going, ‘What in the hell is she up to now?’ Then she has a priest that she’s kidnapped. It’s pretty wild!”

Reilly said she appreciated the dress and the kidnapped priest. It was very fitting for her character and her relationship with Wheeler.

“I love their wedding, and it’s just so typical Beth,” Reilly admitted. “She’s just not interested in having a wedding party or a wedding dress or any of that. All she cares about is being his wife and she knows that… I kind of find her slightly heroic in a really messed up way.”
