In a cast full of stars, Cole Hauser’s work on the hit Paramount Network series “Yellowstone” stands out above the rest.
Hauser, along with veteran actors Kevin Costner and Wes Bentley, headline a terrific “Yellowstone” cast. Hauser plays fan-favorite Rip Wheeler on the modern western drama series. Since appearing in the very first episode of the very first season, Hauser has endeared himself, and Rip, to the show’s massive fan base. The rough and tough cowboy looks and acts as if he came from a factory specializing in building badasses. Big, burly and with a mean streak, Rip Wheeler is not someone you want to cross.
Rip is a more than capable hand on “Yellowstone” Ranch, adept a herding cattle and putting up fence posts. But, as fans of the show know, Rip ‘s value to the Dutton Ranch goes way beyond daily chores. Rip is the enforcer for the powerful Dutton family and takes great delight and dispatching their enemies. Time and time again we have seen the big, bad cowboy has no issues with dirty hands.
Every actor has other actors that they look up to and the “Yellowstone” star is no different. Having been around the Hollywood block a time or two, Hauser has gotten to work with and see some of the best in the business. On “Yellowstone,” Hauser gets to work with legendary leading man Kevin Costner and the two have excellent chemistry. Hauser is also a big fan of another Hollywood icon — Jack Nicholson. In his latest social media post, Hauser shouts out the legendary actor with a meme.
“Love this… I’ve been watching this man telling the truth for decades on and off screen,” Hauser says. “Keep on keeping on!”
‘Yellowstone’ Star Express Admiration For One the All Time Greats
With a new season of “Yellowstone” just around the corner, fans can’t wait to see what season four has for Hauser and Rip.
When it comes to acting, Jack Nicholson is one of the best all-time and many young actors study his game to improve their own craft. It is a safe bet to say that Cole Hauser has likely been one of those young actors. In his Instagram post, he gives a nod to the actor’s honesty and authenticity.
We haven’t been given many clues on what storylines await Hauser’s character but it is fun to speculate. In the recently released season four trailer, we see that Rip is the first to come upon John Dutton as he lay dying. Will Rip be able to save his boss’s life? Will he go on a vengeful rampage if John succumbs to his wounds?
“Yellowstone” fans cant wait to get answers to these questions when the fourth season arrives next month.
