New “Yellowstone” star Finn Little, who plays Carter on the show, has made a point of showing his appreciation for the crew as well as his fellow cast members.

Last week, Little posted a picture to Instagram of the “Yellowstone” crew hard at work in the Chief Joseph Ranch barn. He pointed out that between rough weather and the coronavirus pandemic, 2020 was a difficult year for everyone involved in making “Yellowstone.”

This week, Little posted about a crew member, Tara, who celebrated her birthday recently. He included a picture of Tara walking through the ranch.

“Wishing the lovely and extremely hardworking Tara a very Happy Birthday! Hope there is cake somewhere in the day for you!” Little captioned the post.

Little Worked on Previous Taylor Sheridan Project

Little comes to “Yellowstone” from the Taylor Sheridan-helmed film “Those Who Wish Me Dead,” starring Angelina Jolie. He played a 12-year-old boy who is on the run from killers. Jolie played a rough-around-the-edges survival expert and smoke-jumper who has to keep him safe as they make their way through Montana in the midst of a forest fire.

In an interview earlier this year with Entertainment Tonight, Little said he and Jolie became friends during the process of shooting the movie.

“We would hang out some weekends,” Little explained. “Angie and her kids. We just sort of got comfortable with each other.”

In the movie, Jolie had to tamp down her motherly instincts toward Little and act a little tougher to get into character. For instance, she reminisced with Little about the day when she had to trip him.

“Tripping a kid is just such a weird feeling,” Jolie said. “But then, you know, you get into it.”

‘Yellowstone’ Season 4 Is on the Way

As Little has pointed out in his Instagram posts, Season 4 of “Yellowstone” is almost here. It’s been a long wait for fans, who expected it out earlier and were mystified about the delay.

But now Season 4 is set to premiere on Sunday, Nov. 7. Judging by Season 3’s performance, the blockbuster two-hour premiere should set new ratings records. (Last season, both the premiere and the finale brought new ratings highs.)

The premiere should resolve the Season 3 cliffhanger that left multiple Duttons’ lives hanging in the balance. And it may introduce some of the new characters we’ll meet in Season 4, including Carter. Will Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) take him in? And will he make it to Season 5?

Time will tell. And fortunately for “Yellowstone” fans, there’s not much of it left before new episodes start airing once again.
