‘Yellowstone’ Star Forrie J. Smith Urges Fans to ‘Mark Their Calendars’ for Season 4 Premiere With Classic Still From Show

“Yellowstone” actor Forrie J. Smith is right — it’s time to mark our calendars. Because the premiere of Season 4 is only about two and a half months away.

Paramount Network released the news just yesterday, along with a suspenseful teaser trailer. Fans have waited a long time to see what happened to our favorite “Yellowstone” characters, and the teaser only gave us a glimpse of Kevin Costner’s John Dutton. In the Season 3 finale, we saw John getting shot down and left for dead on the side of the road. The teaser picks up from that moment, showing John struggling to stay alive as crows circled above him.

But John wasn’t the only one in trouble at the end of the episode. His daughter, Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) had her office blown up by a mysterious package. While John’s son, Kayce, fought off unknown assailants in a gunfight in his office.

Luckily for “Yellowstone” fans, Season 4 will premiere with two episodes on Sunday, Nov. 7. Hopefully, the two episodes will address what happened to the Duttons, as well as what’s going on with our favorite ranchhand.

Forrie J. Smith plays Lloyd Pierce on the show. Lloyd is one of our favorite (and oldest) of the “Yellowstone” ranchhands, as well as a branded man. His smile and personality are infectious, which is just as true of Smith in real life.

Smith recently took to Instagram to celebrate the Season 4 announcement. Posting an iconic still of Llloyd from the show, Smith wrote, “Mark Your calendars…#YELLOWSTONETV #Season4. Nov. 21, 2021 #sunday #getready.”

We’ll forgive Smith just this once for getting the date wrong. And fans quickly corrected him in the comments, reminding everyone that “Yellowstone” will actually premiere on Nov. 7.

What’s in Store for “Yellowstone” Fans This Fall?

Fans don’t only have Season 4 of “Yellowstone” to look forward to this fall. They can also keep an eye out for the prequel show, “1883,” and Taylor Sheridan’s other new drama.

News broke about “1883” a few weeks ago. The prequel follows John Dutton’s ancestors, James and Margaret Dutton. They’ll be played by country stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, alongside Sam Elliott as Shea Brennan. Deadline reports that “1883” will premiere later than “Yellowstone,” on Dec. 19. And before that, fans can check out Sheridan’s “Mayor of Kingstown.”

The Michigan-based drama will follow the McLusky family, who are “power brokers running for-profit prisons” in the Midwest. While the new drama won’t be quite a “Western,” it’ll still take place in the same universe as “Yellowstone.” Starring Jeremy Renner as the lead, “Mayor of Kingstown” will premiere on Sunday, Nov. 14.

Lots to keep track of on your calendars, Outsiders. But stick around and we’ll keep you up to date on all your favorite shows.
