‘Yellowstone’ Star Kelly Reilly Wants to Play Co-Star Jen Landon’s ‘Trusty Sidekick’ in New Project

Yellowstone star Kelly Reilly proves that even celebrities hype their friends on social media. And maybe even want to continue working together on new projects.

Actress Jennifer Landon, who plays Teeter on Yellowstone, recently posted a photo of herself on Instagram. In the photo, she poses with her bulldog while wearing what looks like a swashbuckling pirate outfit. Along with the photo, she writes, “Self-tape slate for the win.”

And as every true friend does, Yellowstone co-star Kelly Reilly hyped up her friend in the comments. Kelly wrote, “I’d like to audition for the role of your trusty sidekick in whatever swashbuckler this is, please. I have a v similar outfit but less glam, it’s perfect.”

So, in a way, Kelly hyped her friend while also shooting her shot for a potential co-star role. Now, that’s true friendship.

On the post, Reilly dropped a comment about wanting to tag along for whatever project Landon is auditioning for. “I’d like to audition for the role of your trusty sidekick in whatever swashbuckler this is please,” she writes. “I haven a v similar outfit but less glam , it’s perfect.”

Yellowstone Actress Jennifer Landon: Daughter of A Little House On The Prairie Star

It’s no surprise that Jennifer is able to portray a woman of the wild west. It’s in her blood. Her father, Michael Landon played Charles Ingalls on Little House on The Prairie. He also starred as Little Joe Cartwright in Bonanza. So, Jennifer was born to play the wild, headstrong ranch hand. During an interview about her role as Teeter on Yellowstone, Jennifer opened up about her character.

“I think I am Teeter. Deep down. I think I’m a feral, shh*t-kicking, little weirdo,” Jennifer says laughing.

She also talked about Teeter’s classic style of speaking. Jennifer clarified that the script is written that way.

“People were like ‘How did you come up with the way she spoke?’ I basically just read exactly what he wrote,” she said.

Regardless, Jennifer has undoubtedly made the character her own. Whether she’s cussing out her fellow ranch hands (or anyone for that matter) or shamelessly flirting with Colby, it’s always a wild ride with Teeter around.

Kelly Reilly again backed her Yellowstone friend when she talked about Jennifer’s portrayal of Teeter.

“You can tell how much fun Taylor is having writing her, and she just brings it,” Kelly said. “She has the role of the season, in my mind.”

Jennifer said that it’s the quality for female characters that really drew her to the role.

“I’m just honored to be part of a show where women, for lack of better terms, have life by the balls,” said Jennifer.
