‘Yellowstone’ Star Ryan Bingham to Perform at Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo

by Courtney Blackann

Everyone’s favorite “Yellowstone” rebel Walker, aka Ryan Bingham, is putting the ranch drama aside just long enough to schedule an appearance in Texas. The singer will headline a night at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. And we couldn’t be more excited about it. The best parts of “Yellowstone” are when Walker’s serenading us with his guitar, anyway, right?

Okay, so you may disagree with that – but it’s still pretty nice when Bingham sings us a sad tune of love and loss. The Texas native will appear at the show on Feb. 5 as a part of the Auditorium Concert Series, Paper City reports.

The performer will bring his unique sounds of country, blues, folk, and rock to the stage. Most recently, the “Yellowstone” actor released his album “American Love Song.” This album is full of honest tunes which hint at survival and loss. His sounds are melodic while still embracing minimalism.

About the Texas Native

A press release for the album state’s that Bingham:

“He grew up in the West Texas oil fields, then spent time as a teenage rodeo cowboy in towns all across the state. Along the way, he absorbed the Cajun culture of western Louisiana, the hardcore hip-hop favored by his Houston friends, and the border songs of the Mexican immigrants. Until he moved to California in 2007, he never lived in any one place for more than two years. It’s this spirit of having done plenty of living early on that has informed the singer-songwriter’s world weary and jagged, weather-beaten vocals.”

It goes on to describe his recent successes.

“Bingham, who was honored as the Americana Music Association’s 2010 Artist of the Year, has enjoyed thrilling highs and suffered debilitating lows, sometimes all at once. While his career was taking off – he won both an Oscar and a Grammy for ‘The Weary Kind,’ the theme song he wrote for the film Crazy Heart – he was also coping with the tragic deaths of his parents. The losses put Bingham in a dark tunnel, and it took a while to crawl his way out.”

Ryan Bingham Wraps Up Season 4 of “Yellowstone”

Bigham also just wrapped up filming “Yellowstone” season 4, which airs on Paramount+ on Sundays. The actor has been a fan favorite as he often comes head to head with Rip and everything the Yellowstone ranch stands for. He’s also previously caught the eye of Beth Dutton, which furthered his rift with Rip.

The singer/songwriter is also working on a new album. How he has time to create new music, star on “Yellowstone,” and still perform in live shows around the country, we’ll never know.

But we can’t wait to see what Bingham does next – perhaps we could get a “Yellowstone” spinoff just for Walker’s Texas back story? We’ll be waiting to hear from Taylor Sheridan about that possibility.
