‘Yellowstone’ Stars Welcome New Young Cast Member to the Family With Heartfelt Messages

by Thad Mitchell

A new season of “Yellowstone” means a fresh set of faces will join the already star-studded cast of the Paramount Network series.

One of these fresh faces comes from young Australian actor Finn Little, who joins “Yellowstone” for its fourth season. Not a whole lot is known about Little’s “Yellowstone” character. His name is Carter and it is rumored that he is being brought to the ranch by Beth Dutton. Carter supposedly has a back story similar to that of Rip Wheeler, who was orphaned at a young age and taken in by the Dutton family. If Carter is anything like Rip, he will do just fine working on the ranch and protecting his adopted family. We got our first glimpse of Finn Little and Carter in a recent teaser trailer put out just yesterday by the “Yellowstone” team. Fans of the show are excited to see what the young actor brings to the show and how his character will fit in on the ranch.

In a recent social media post revealing Finn Little’s character, a couple of members of the “Yellowstone” cast welcome the newcomer aboard. Jefferson White (Jimmy) and Hassie Harrison (Laramie) are among the show’s stars participating in the welcome.

“Welcome to the Yellowstone, Finn Little,” the Instagram post says.

Hassie Harrison is the first to comment on the video, welcoming Finn to the show.

“Adore you Finn!” she says in her reply. “Can’t wait to see you shine on screen!”

White follows suit with an ominous post that has the makings of an inside joke between the two.

“Bandaids and Tylenol, bro!” White says in his reply. He doesn’t elaborate on his words, but it’s likely that Little will get his hands dirty this season.

‘Yellowstone’ Newcomer Finn Little Talks About His Role

Finn joins Tate Dutton actor Brecken Merrill as the youngest cast members on the “Yellowstone” set. We don’t know how old Carter is yet, but Little is 15-years-old, meaning Carter is likely somewhere around that age.

In the Finn Little introduction video, we get our first look at Carter as he stands inside a pen on the Dutton Ranch. He briefly converses with ranch hand Walker and says life has “robbed him of options” after Walker asks him if he wants to be a cowboy. Finn then describes his first couple of on the “Yellowstone” set. You will notice he has a strong accent but disguises it well when playing the Carter character.

Cole Hauser, who plays Rip Wheeler, has high praise for Little and calls him a “natural” on screen.

“Finn is great — I mean the kid is a natural,” Hauser says in the video. “it doesn’t start easy for him — it’s tough trading.”

“Yellowstone” fans are looking forward to learning more about Little and Carter when the new season arrives on November 7.
