‘Yellowstone’ TV Adding Several New Major Characters for Season 4

Yellowstone Season 4 will be introducing numerous new characters.

Fans of the hit Paramount series will be excited to learn that the cast is growing, with bright new talent. Deadline first reported details about the new characters.

Firstly, Jacki Weaver will portray Caroline Warner, the CEO of Market Equities. You’ll recall that the company is trying to crush the hold on John Dutton’s (Kevin Costner) ranch. She will be a recurring cast member. The Australian actress previously starred in Silver Linings Playbook, Animal Kingdom, and Stoker.

Secondly, Piper Perabo will also be a recurring cast member. She is set to play the role of a Portland protestor who is fighting against industrialized farming and killing of animals that is overseen by the state-funded police. Perabo is best known for her roles in Coyote Ugly, Covert Affairs, and The Prestige.

Finally, rounding out the new recurring characters is Kathryn Kelly. Kelly will play a veterinary technician who falls for a Dutton ranch hand. She was featured on Nashville, Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings, and Powers.

Additionally, Finn Little will join the cast of Yellowstone as a series regular. The outlet described the character of Carter as a “youth reminiscent of a young Rip (Cole Hauser). You may recognize Little from Storm Boy, Angel of Mine, and Tidelands.

Although last season he was a newcomer, Will Patton has also signed on as a series regular. Patton portrays Garrett Randall on the show.

Yellowstone Season 4 will reportedly debut in a new season, this November on Paramount Network. The reason behind the change is because that month is typically when returning television shows air. This will also give them the opportunity to promote the show for cross-promotion on CBS’ NFL broadcasts as well.

Fans won’t have to wait much longer for Yellowstone content. During July 4 weekend, Paramount will be airing a marathon of the first three seasons. Fans will also get a taste of the new season with clips and teasers from Season 4 during the broadcast. It all kicks off at 12 PM ET on July 3.

With all of the major success Yellowstone had so far, creator Taylor Sheridan has a new project up his sleeves. The Yellowstone prequel series prequel spinoff Y:1883 will begin production in Texas on August 23.

The new show will follow the Dutton clan as they travel across the Great Plains, heading west. The official description added: “It is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America’s promised land — Montana.”
