‘Yellowstone’ TV: Beth Dutton Gives John Important Reminder in Latest Clip Ahead of Season 4

In a recently tweeted clip, the official “Yellowstone” Twitter account reminded audiences of the central conflict that runs through the show.

In the clip, Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) offers her father John Dutton (Kevin Costner) some perspective about the long odds of the battle he’s fighting. She supports him no matter what. But she won’t lie to him about his chances of success.

“The world doesn’t value your way of life anymore, dad,” Beth quietly warns her father.

“I know,” John Dutton concedes.

“The world doesn’t value John Dutton’s way of life. #YellowstoneTV,” the @Yellowstone account tweeted Monday.

Season 4 of ‘Yellowstone’ Has Been Delayed

While the previous three seasons of “Yellowstone” all premiered in June, this year, the month has come and gone with no Season 4 premiere. And fans are getting a little restless.

First fans were guessing early June. Then Father’s Day. Then July 11. But on Reddit, a fan shot down even the July premiere date guess.

“July 11 is a no-go,” the fan said on Reddit. “Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I just scrolled through Paramount’s schedule up to July 12 at 5:30 a.m. There are still no listings for season four episode one. Bummer.”

Bummer is right. It looks like the true Season 4 premiere date is a closely-guarded secret. Even the Chief Joseph Ranch, the real-world site of the fictional “Yellowstone” Dutton ranch, and some cast members are unsure of when it will fall.

Costner Says Many of Us, Like John Dutton, Yearn for Bygone Era

John Dutton isn’t the only one who’s rooted in the customs and traditions of an earlier time. Costner himself yearns for the simplicity of Dutton’s way of life, Costner said in a 2020 interview with Gold Derby.

“Maybe we want to vicariously live through the days where we’d like to arbitrate our own problems instead of like when you feel offended you have to call a lawyer,” Costner said. “You would like to handle it but you’ve got to call a lawyer or call an agent or a PR person and I think there’s something in us that deep down we would love to be able to sometimes have the satisfaction of arbitrating our own problems. Without people knowing it, they tie in a little bit to that taking a level of justice or what they perceive as justice and enjoying that idea.”

No doubt about it, John Dutton takes matters into his own hands – sometimes with better results than others. And “Yellowstone” fans will just have to wait until Season 4 finally arrives to find out if he can survive to defend his way of life.
