The fourth season of the hit Paramount Network series “Yellowstone” is off to a tremendous start and fans of the show can’t get enough.

After every episode so far, “Yellowstone” fans have flocked to various internet sites to give their review. Fans also love to discuss their theories on the show with each other. Online forum site Reddit has become home for many fans who want to chat about the “Yellowstone” universe. An interesting question was posed on the “Yellowstone” forum page that sparked some lively discussion. Fans want to know if Beth Dutton is a candidate to earn the infamous “Y” brand this season.

“So if Beth gets busted for insider trading, does she get the brand?” a Reddit user asks.

As we all know, several “Yellowstone” cowboys bear the “Y” brand on their chests, covering their hearts. One must earn the brand and it is a symbol of trust and loyalty among the “Yellowstone” workers. Last season, we saw several ranch hand earn their brand by participating in the murder of Wade Morrow. Colby and Teeter are among the ranch hands with fresh brands. According to Rip Wheeler in a previous season, the “Y” brand is only for the criminals among the group. It’s never been said aloud, but it appears committing a crime to benefit the ranch is the quickest way to earn the brand.

So is Beth a good candidate for the “Yellowstone” brand? Several fans and Reddit users seem to think so.

“It seems she has done plenty to help the ranch and even some illegal activities,” a Redditor says in the discussion. “If anyone deserves to wear the brand, it is Beth Dutton.”

Hard to argue that point as Beth puts her father and his ranch before most everything. Would John Dutton allow it?

‘Yellowstone’ Fans Sound Off on Beth and the ‘Y’ Brand

Many fans say that Beth already has the brand but that it is on the inside instead of outside on the skin.

“Came here just to say that!” another fan says. “She’s got more of a brand than all of them together.”

Other “Yellowstone” watchers provide their own analysis of what the brand means and how it is earned.

“The brand is given to anyone who commits a crime for the ranch, it has absolutely nothing to do with disrespecting anyone,” another Redditor posts. “The point of the brand is that you are a liability to the ranch now if you speak about your knowledge/ actions at the ranch, so you are tied to the ranch and the ranch is tied to you. The brand labels you as such.”

It is likely we will see the “Yellowstone” brand come into play at some point this season and just be Beth who gets it.
