Cole Hauser is saddled with a hard-nosed attitude that lets him speak his mind, much like “Yellowstone” character Rip Wheeler.
On Monday, Hauser channeled a bit of Rip in an interview with Storme Warren on SiriusXM.
Warren asks Hauser how Rip Wheeler would describe or explain 2020. Before the actor answers, he wants to clarify if curse words are allowed to be said. Warren assures him that it’s ok because the show is on satellite radio.
Hauser answers the question, “A f–king disaster. That’s how Rip would say it.” The two continue to chuckle and Hauser adds, “Just really simple. A f–cking sh-t show disaster.”
Warren says that’s perfectly Rip, and after making those comments, then the character would turn and walk away. Hauser says, “Yeah. It’d be just like that. You know what I mean? And he’ll get on his horse and ride off.”
Cole Hauser Steps on Wrestling Mat for New Movie
Don’t worry, Hauser isn’t going anywhere anytime soon on the hit tv show “Yellowstone.” However, we did see three characters suffer an untimely fate that left us all questioning if they’re dead or alive in season four. Rip is one of the beloved main characters left standing, though.
The actor is hanging up his rope and parking his horse and donning a coach’s whistle. In his new movie “The Last Champion,” Hauser plays a disgraced athlete who returns to their hometown after an Olympic run. He then begins working with the high school wrestling program.
“I think this is a great time for the movie to come out right around the holidays. It is a story about success and about redemption,” Hauser said in an interview with KGET.
Though, at the beginning of the movie trailer, Hauser is still wearing a cowboy hat and has facial hair. It seems like he’s even taken his new learned skill of feeding hay to livestock over into this new role.
The movie will be available for widespread streaming on Tuesday, Dec. 8.
