Beth Dutton truly does have a way with words. The “Yellowstone” character played by Kelly Reilly may not always use the kindest words, but it is a way with words nonetheless.
In this scene posted to the official “Yellowstone” Instagram, Beth is speaking to her boss at Schwartz & Meyer, Bob Schwartz. Beth has a certain propensity for crude jokes, like the one she delivers here.
“I always knew you tucked it in your sock, Bob.”
A bold way to speak to one’s boss, but as we know, Beth Dutton is a fearless businesswoman. In the scene from Season 2, Beth had just agreed on a real estate deal that was slightly shady. She made sure to give Bob a kiss on the cheek as she exited the bar, leaving her boss speechless. Take a look at the scene below.
While it is certainly not the kindest compliment, Schwartz should be honored nonetheless. Compliments from Beth Dutton are few and far between. More often than not, she’s threatening business associates, ranch hands or even family with her tough-as-nails nature that will leave even the toughest cowboys shaking in their boots.
Beth Dutton Faces Uncertain ‘Yellowstone’ Future
If you haven’t finished Season 3 of “Yellowstone,” be warned. Spoilers are aplenty in the coming paragraphs.
In the Season 3 finale of Paramount’s hit show “Yellowstone,” the Dutton clan faced a series of attacks. Beth Dutton’s office was bombed. Unknown hitmen shot John Dutton several times on the side of the road. Further, gunmen also attacked Kayce Dutton’s office as he took cover behind his desk. All of the character’s futures are up in the air.
As the fourth season approaches, fans are still asking questions. Which members of the Dutton family survive the attacks? Who was behind the attacks? What does the future of the Dutton Ranch look like?
Fans are hopeful John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner, survives the attacks. His phone seems to have taken the worst of it and saved his life, ironically. Beth and Kayce’s future are two of the biggest question marks, though.
The Duttons have several enemies who may be behind the attacks. Chief Rainwater notably wants the Dutton’s land, as he played a major role in the Season 3 drama. Roarke Morris of Market Equities would love to build an airport on the Yellowstone Ranch’s land. Even Jamie Dutton could be a suspect, as he had a rocky Season 3.
Fans Theorize About the Attacks
Now, fans are theorizing about the last 3 seasons, as well as the upcoming one. One particular theory, however, drew our attention. This fan asks if it’s possible that Beth Dutton herself planted the bomb at her own office in an attempt to frame Roarke Morris, Willa Hayes, and Market Equities. We know Beth Dutton will go to great lengths to protect her interests. In this case, those interests are the Yellowstone Ranch and her family.
“Considering how crafty Beth is, it’s definitely possible,” a Reddit user says. “I could see Beth willing to risk getting moderately injured for the sake of the ranch.”
The Dutton’s are no stranger to playing dirty to protect their land, and this could be further proof of that fact. In the meantime, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens when Season 4 comes out in the early summer.
