With an already massive and still growing fan base, Paramount Network series “Yellowstone” has become one of the most-watched shows on television.
Through three seasons of the heavily entertaining modern western drama, “Yellowstone” has collected millions of fans. That will continue growing as more and more people discover the cowboy culture goodness that is “Yellowstone.” Even though the show is currently on an extended hiatus, it continues to be the talk of the town. It is also the talk of the internet as there are entire message board forums dedicated to “Yellowstone” discussion. Television fans can simply not get enough of the show and have now taken to the internet to get their “Yellowstone” fix until the show returns.
When the show will return is a question that we still don’t have a firm answer to. A couple of weeks ago, “Yellowstone” creators confirmed the show will be returning later this year in the fall season. When in the fall season, we do not know yet, but fans are happy to at least have a timeline in place. Most fans that is as many are still venting their frustrations regarding the show’s return. A recent Reddit thread started by a “Yellowstone” fan compares the wait for season four to be like a game of ping pong.
“This Yellowstone delay is starting to feel like a ping pong game!” the Reddit user exclaims. “I don’t think anyone is sure when it’s actually going to happen, but it is going to happen. Not stressing about it, but looking forward to the new season.”
‘Yellowstone’ Fans Vent on Season Four Delay
The fan does make a good point as rumors have come and gone regarding the fourth season premiere. At one point, all signs of a new “Yellowstone” season premiere pointed to early summer. Many were convinced the fourth season would begin on June 20. It seemed like a safe bet as all three previous seasons premiered on or around this date. But June 20, Father’s Day, came and went with no sign of a premiere. Some fans were convinced “Yellowstone” producers were delaying the premiere in order to dodge competition with the Olympics. Finally, after sensing frustration was beginning to boil over, “Yellowstone” creators tabbed the fall season for the premiere. It isn’t what fans wanted to hear, but most are glad it will indeed return this year.
“I hope someone makes a post when they announce the day,” another Redditor says. “The June date came and went but my grumpiness over the delay remains.”
A big reason for the anxiety among “Yellowstone” fans was the cliffhanging season three ending. Heading into the fourth season of the show, there could be as many as four primary characters dead or alive. The fates of John, Kayce and Beth Dutton as well as ranch hand Jimmy are left totally up in the air.
