“Yellowstone” fans are anxiously awaiting the Season Four premiere. And although reading a book isn’t quite the same as watching your favorite “Yellowstone” characters battle it out for their land, it could be a great way to distract yourself while you wait for new episodes. This book is especially perfect for your wait because it’s written by “Yellowstone” star Denim Richards. Richards plays Colby on the show, and who doesn’t love Colby? We know Teeter certainly does. And we can’t wait to see how that budding romance pans out this upcoming season.
However, as of right now, there is no news about the new season. We have no idea when the fourth season will premiere. So, instead of thinking about how badly we’re itching for new “Yellowstone” episodes, we’re going to practice some of the mindfulness techniques Richards includes in his book.
Why Did Denim Richards Write A Book?
The book is titled, Mastering Your Mind, and it’s available for purchase as an e-book. Richards released the book in May of last year as a way to help “deposit more positivity & enlightenment” into people’s lives. He described his motivation behind writing the book in a Tweet last year.
During an interview in 2020 the “Yellowstone” star talked more about the book and its success.
“The feedback has been really really surprising. I think that when I wrote it originally, I thought, ‘If it affects one person then that’s great.’ But every single person who has purchased the book and taken the time to message me either through email or dm, it’s been really humbling. Because I didn’t think it would hit on so many different things for people personally,” said Richards. “But the biggest thing that it’s been for them is it’s just been very very empowering. Which is a big thing for me because that’s all I wanted to be able to do.”
Richards said that he knows he’s accomplished his goal for the book based on the feedback he’s received from readers.
“So to see the way it’s been received and the way people are saying ‘I want to tell my friends and I want my friends to tell their family,’ that’s a really beautiful thing. And that means the mission was accomplished. So, I’m very humbled and grateful for that.”
What is ‘Yellowstone’ Star Denim Richards’ Book About?
2020 was a tough year for most of us. Not only did we have to deal with a global pandemic but almost all of our usual coping mechanisms and activities were largely restricted. That combination left a lot of us feeling not so great mentally. Well, Richards recognized that and wanted to help teach people how to come back to themselves during tough times such as the pandemic. During the same interview, Richards talked a little more about what he shares in the book.
“The only thing that we can really control is how we react and what we decide to do,” said Richards. “So I think that trying to have as much empowerment as possible to get us to take some of our own power back into ourselves and not rely so much on others or political parties or government agencies to give us a better sense of self. I think that’s better for everyone.”
