Kelly Reilly who plays Beth Dutton on Paramount’s Yellowstone TV show finally talks about the future of her character. While she is holding out hope that her character is still alive, fans are clamoring for more information.

But Reilly doesn’t provide those answers, and instead, she talks about the scenes she’s enjoyed filming the most. Filming a hit TV show is no easy task. Moreover, portraying perhaps the baddest woman on TV might be even harder.

In a new interview with Esquire, Reilly talks about the path of her character, Beth, on the show. Although she doesn’t give any breaking news on the status of Beth, Reilly does talk about how much fun she has filmed with the cast.

In particular, Reilly talks about filming season three of Yellowstone. She mentions the defining moments for her character and how unique the storyline is throughout the interview.

“I see those moments of happiness for Beth, especially in Season Three. At the beginning of Season Three, there is a sort of quiet, healing vibe going on. Beth and Rip (Cole Hauser) are living in the new house that they’ve been given, that John Dutton (Kevin Costner) gave to Rip.”

Reilly Looking for Happy Ending

Reilly continues, talking about how the quiet, more somber scenes were the most intriguing to do. She also talks about how important drama is for the show and cultivating by finding happy endings.

“Beth has moved in and there’s a little bit of domestic quiet, gentleness that’s sort of creeping in which we’ve never seen Beth inhabit. I found those scenes really interesting to play. Whether it lasts or not, it wouldn’t be a drama if it was constant. I don’t think that we’re at the happy ending stage yet, but I think there’s a glimmer of happiness and where that happiness and where that peace could live, you know what I mean?”

Although the show might not be at the happy ending stage yet, perhaps Reilly is hinting that the show is heading that way. Yellowstone is certainly playing the long game. And, it’s safe to say that fans are all for it.

At the end of season three, Beth Dutton seemed, to put it vaguely, not well-off. But, season four has already finished filming, and as of yet, there haven’t been any leaks about the goings-on. Did Kelly Reilly not return as a cast member? The questions are endless and captivating.

Season Four premieres in the summer of 2021, so there is plenty of time to re-watch the entire show. But, fair warning, trying to guess whether or not Beth Dutton will return is like pinning the tail on a donkey while blindfolded.

The show continued its awesome success, as it remained cable TV’s highest-rated series. There are certainly all the makings for Taylor Sheridan’s show to repeat its success this coming year. The question remains though, will Beth and Rip continue to be centerpieces of the show, or is it Rip’s territory now?
