‘Yellowstone’ TV: Get to Know Season 4’s Rumored New Cast Member, 14-Year-Old Finn Little

Finn Little seems to be the newest member of the Yellowstone cast. While Yellowstone has not officially announced his addition to the team, fans are piecing the puzzle together, figuring the young actor must be playing a role in season four. The 14-year-old actor caused a host of fan theories last week when someone seemingly discovered he had joined the all-star cast on the Montana set.

So, who is this probable new addition to the Dutton Ranch? Here’s all you need to know about Finn Little…

Finn Little is a 14-year-old from Brisbane, Australia

Finn Little was born on June 9, 2006, in Brisbane, Australia. He remains based out of his home continent, but on August 16th he flew into Montana to presumably begin filming Yellowstone’s season four. He stands around 5 foot 5 inches and typically plays roles around his age, between 12 and 15 years old.

The young actor boasts an impressive resumé

Though he’s just 14, Little has played a role in an impressive amount of professional works. IMBd lists his accolades on a page devoted to him. He was featured in Netflix’s Tide Lands as Gilles as well as the entertainment subscription service’s The Reckoning. In addition, he played the main character in the 2019 film Storm Boy, which is his most famous role.

Most recently, he appeared in ‘2067’ which was released in American theaters October 2nd. The sci-fi dystopian thriller emphasizes the impacts of climate change by dramatizing an illness caused by necessary man-made oxygen. Finn Little plays Ethan Whyte in the movie. The film’s trailer caption reads, “By the year 2067, Earth has been ravaged by climate change and humanity is forced to live on artificial oxygen. An illness caused by the synthetic O2 is killing the worlds’ population and the only hope for a cure comes in the form of a message from the future: ‘Send Ethan Whyte’. Ethan, an underground tunnel worker, is suddenly thrust into a terrifying new world full of unknown danger as he must fight to save the human race.”

His next film appearance will be in Those Who Wish Me Dead, a thriller that is currently in post-production. Angelina Jolie stars in the film as Hannah Faber. IMBd’s synopsis of the upcoming movie says, “A teenage murder witness finds himself pursued by twin assassins in the Montana wilderness with a survival expert tasked with protecting him — and a forest fire threatening to consume them all.”

Eerily familiar scenes of forest fires like the ones we currently see in the American west will surely appear in the upcoming movie. The thriller’s setting is Montana, which, ironically, is where the Yellowstone stars are currently filming.

As a matter of fact…the movie’s director? You guessed it: None other than Taylor Sheridan. He directs Those Who Wish Me Dead, adding another Yellowstone connection to Finn Little’s seemingly long list.

Fans have a solid theory on Finn Little’s role in Yellowstone

Spoiler warning!

Fans on Reddit are sharing their theories about what Little’s role may be. They notice he was recently followed by Kelly Reilly and Emerson Miller (a videographer, photographer for the series). Many seem to think Little may join the Dutton family through adoption by Beth.

One user adds to the thread, pointing out Finn Little undeniably resembles Cole Hauser’s character Rip. Rip and Beth have Yellowstone fans questioning whether a wedding is in their future or if the relationship will sadly fail. Little does, in fact, have thick brown hair similar to Hausers, so a few think Beth may adopt him to remind her of her true love, Rip. User ‘Trickilicious” writes, “People think this kid looks like a young Rip so maybe she adopts someone who reminds her of him. Plus he’s older and won’t be lied to all his life like Jamie.”

Though another fan seems to worry about Beth’s mothering capabilities, writing “The idea of Beth adopting a child is horrifying to me,” under the cast member announcement. “After seeing Jamie’s life play out I’m thinking she’s taking a hard pass on the whole adoption thing,” another user comments.

One Reddit user goes so far as to take a guess at Finn Little’s character name. They note that ‘Carter’s dying father’ was on Yellowstone’s casting page for extras this summer. “Lwhities” writes, “I’ve been looking at the Yellowstone extra casting page. A while ago, they were looking for someone to play “carter’s dying father”. I’m wondering if this kid could be Carter and how he fits into the Dutton family,” adding to the group of fans’ speculations. Might Finn Little play Carter, a boy whose father dies and who then is adopted by Beth?

While many speculated about Little in the Reddit thread comments, one user was simply excited this news suggests Beth’s survival. Following the third finale’s action-packed, cliff-hanger ending, many fans continue to worry about the fates of their beloved characters. “Are you telling me Beth survives??? <OH GOD PLEASE LET IT BE SO>” the Redditor writes, ignoring the rumors of potential adoption.

He seems to be loving his time in Montana

Yellowstone’s fourth season is evidently filming exclusively on a Montana Ranch, called Chief Joseph’s Ranch. While Little has not specifically tagged Chief Joseph’s he regularly tags “Montana, U.S.A.” in his posts with images that look nearly identical to the rolling hills, green pastures, and classic barns seen in Yellowstone’s iconic scenes.

Finn Little has been sure to share snaps of his time in Montana via his verified Instagram account. He has posted images fishing, playing in the water, and interacting with some of the animals on the ranch.

Under his September 21st post of him snuggling with a cat sharing “a feeling of belonging,” a Yellowstone super-star shared a comment. Kelly Reilly, who plays the ferocious Beth Dutton, adds three red heart emojis “❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ” under his post. Reilly’s interaction with Little amplifies soaring rumors about season four and her potential adoption. Their visible association on social media may be the most compelling evidence Yellowstone fans have to prove Beth Dutton and Little’s character have some sort of connection in season four.
