Kelly Reilly came on strong on the hit tv show “Yellowstone.” For some, it was the first time they’ve ever seen the strawberry-blonde actress. However, for others, Reilly is a familiar face.

Reilly plays the cut-throat daughter of John Dutton on “Yellowstone.” No matter where she goes, her barb-wired tongue follows. But some of her previous roles are the complete opposite of the one she takes on in the Paramount Network series.

So where have we seen the British actress before?

Kelly Reilly On the Silver Screen

Reilly first started on the television drama “Prime Suspect” after writing the producers for work. Six years later she scored her first role in a feature film alongside Helen Mirren in “Last Orders.” Reilly felt like she was being typecast in her previous roles, so she sought out a role as the young Amy in 2000.

“I love strong women in films that are allowed to play women and not male fantasies,” Kelly Reilly has been quoted saying.

In 2005, Reilly has roles in “Mrs. Henderson Presents” and “Pride & Prejudice.” Then Reilly’s first lead role came in 2008 in the horror film “Eden Lake.”

The British actress continues to book roles in major films like Mary Watson in “Sherlock Holmes” and its sequel, “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.” Reilly also holds down characters is “Me and Orson Welles” and “Triage.”

In 2012, Reilly appeared opposite Sam Rockwell in “A Single Shot.” Then she had a leading role in Robert Zemeckis’ “Flight” opposite Denzel Washington.

In 2014, Reilly starred with Greg Kinnear in the film “Heaven is for Real” and in the John Michael McDonagh film “Calvary.”

The British Actress on TV Shows

Not only has Kelly Reilly made a name for herself in the movie world, but the crossover actress has taken on a couple of roles in some big-name TV shows.

Reilly starred in the ABC series “Black Box,” as Catherine Black. She’s a famed neuroscientist that explores and solves the mysteries of the brain (the black box). All the while, the character is hiding her own bipolar disorder from the world.

Then in 2015, Kelly Reilly starred in the second season of HBO’s “True Detective.” She played Jordan Semyon, the wife of Vince Vaughn’s character Frank Semyon.
