Jen Landon, who plays Teeter on Yellowstone, just posted a video showing off a completed Dolly Parton puzzle on her Instagram story. The puzzle is an illustration of Dolly in front of a rainbow background, with the famous words, “If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.”
It looks like the puzzle-solving actress is getting some quality “me-time” before the release of Yellowstone’s highly anticipated 4th season. You can visit her Instagram page and potentially catch the puzzle here.
Her rough cowgirl character, Teeter, is a fan favorite. She even admitted before that, “I don’t know if I’ll ever audition for a part as cool as Teeter for the rest of my life. And I’m kind of okay with that.”
“They called me in, I was super nervous, and I didn’t think I was gonna get it at all. I thought I tanked the audition. Apparently, I did not, but I thought I tanked it so hard.”
She joked on a Paramount + video that when she walked out of the audition, she was so in her own head that when the casting director said, “Goodbye, thanks.” She said, “Goodbye! Love you too!”
In the video, she laughed while describing the encounter and how defeated she felt after the audition. “I walked out, and I called my manager like, ‘I’m quitting, I tanked! I told the casting director I loved her! […] No more acting!’”
Thankfully, she didn’t stick to that declaration because now fans get to rejoice when they see (even if it’s not always clearly hear) Teeter on screen.
Working with the ‘Yellowstone’ Cast
Jen Landon has had nothing but positive things to say about her experience on Yellowstone. “To get something like Yellowstone and to get to work Taylor Sheridan, who I have tremendous respect for, and with actors of this caliber, it’s a no-brainer,” Landon told Decider.
In the show, Teeter is clearly interested in the character Colby. When asked what it’s like to work alongside Colby actor Denim Richards, Landon talked about the respect the two have established for each other.
“He’s incredible. He’s not only a wonderful actor, but he’s a wonderful man.” She said of Richards. On-screen, the pair are a highlight of the show; off-screen, the two have formed a relationship based on boundaries and trust.
“And we had to have this kind of role reversal in the sense that Teeter’s sexually harassing Colby.” Jen Landon continued, “So, we had some conversations where I was checking in with him like, “Hey, are you okay with this? Hey, I’m going to touch you here at this point. Is that cool?” He was always game and collaborative.”
Jen Landon’s work as Teeter has been phenomenal, and fans really hope to see more of her in season 4. Much to the chagrin of fans, however, Yellowstone season 4 still doesn’t have a release date. Most think it’ll be released sometime in the early summer. For now, you can catch up on the drama on Peacock or Paramount.
