We are still on the edges of our seats as the wait continues for a brand new of our favorite modern western drama “Yellowstone.”
It’s been radio silence from “Yellowstone” producers ever since the third season of the show came to a close. Rumors have flying left and right, suggesting certain dates could be just right for the premiere of season four. Many fans were convinced the new season will begin on Father’s Day, which fell on June 20 this year. But, alas the day to celebrate dad came and went with the season four premiere cloaked in mystery.
Some fans are now convinced that “Yellowstone” would hold off on the premiere of season four until after the summer Olympics are done. It is all just guesses and rumors at this point as we have heard nothing from anyone affiliated with the show.
The longer-than-expect hiatus from “Yellowstone” has not kept hardcore fans from getting their fix of the Paramount Network series. Internet message boards have become the place to be for “Yellowstone” fans to discuss, speculate and theorize on what season four may have in store.
A recent thread on the forum site Reddit poses a very interesting theory. A fan wants to know if there was possibly a big time jump from season one to season two. The poster also asks just how much time has passed over the course of three seasons.
“My wife and I have just finished binge-watching all three seasons,” the poster writes. “We are struggling to put a timeframe on things though. There is talk of seasons coming and going, subtle changes in costuming and the backdrop of the valley. How much time has transpired since S1E1 to the end of S3E10? How about within each season of the series?”
‘Yellowstone’ Fans Ponder Show’s Timeline
It is an interesting question that doesn’t appear to have an easy answer. Other “Yellowstone” fans on Reddit chime in with their own theories of the amount of time passing. Most of them believe that if there was a time jump then it was likely between the first and second season.
“I think the major time jump has been between seasons 1 and 2, but between 2 and 3, it was just a couple of months or so,” another Redditor suggests. “I feel like between 1 and 2 there was a year or so at least a few months. From 2 to 3 it was I think a couple of months at most. Tate’s hair hadn’t grown back and Beth’s face was still bruised.”
Fans are eager for the new season of “Yellowstone” to begin and find out what becomes of their favorite character. Four primary characters on the show could be dead or alive as season four rapidly approaches.
Hang in there “Yellowstone” fans. The wait will be very much worth it.
