Ask any “Yellowstone” fan who their favorite character on the show is and you are likely to many votes for Beth Dutton. Played brilliantly by veteran actress Kelly Reilly, Beth is one of the more complex characters in the modern western drama.
She is the only daughter of cattle rancher John Dutton, the owner of “Yellowstone” property. Beth is extremely loyal to her father, often doing his bidding and taking on the ranch’s enemies. In the previous episode, we see Beth join Market Equities, the group trying to take over “Yellowstone” Ranch. We don’t know what Beth has up her sleeve, but it is likely she is planning to foil Market Equities plans. How better to do that than finding yourself on the inside — which is what Beth has done.
“Yellowstone” fans often sing the praises of Reilly and Beth Dutton, some even suggesting she is a role model. In a recent Reddit thread, fans share their love for Beth Dutton, citing her complexities as big reason why she is their favorite character.
“Beth Dutton is absolutely complex,” a Redditor and “Yellowstone” fan writes. “A bad ass at work; a tough cookie who can hold her own around a farm, yet an absolute monster to her brother. Why? Why was she like this? We didn’t find out until later in the series. There is also a glimmer of her psyche (and probably ego) where she feels like she’s the only one that can save the family farm/business/legacy.”
Pretty much every “Yellowstone” fan will agree with this sentiment as we all love seeing Beth do her thing. Her storyline will be one that defines the fourth season of the hit show.
‘Yellowstone’ Fans Count The Reasons They Love Beth Dutton
There is much to love about Beth Dutton, from her sassiness to her subtle caring feelings toward her father. We saw another side of Beth earlier this season when she was quick to form a bond with the recently orphaned Carter. It did not go unnoticed by “Yellowstone” watchers.
“She’s smart and she’s been through a lot. She’s been blown up and almost killed (twice),” another Redditor says. “She knows what she wants. She has waited a lifetime to be with the man she loves. She’s a loving daughter. Sure she has major flaws like anyone else (jealous, selfish, hateful towards her “enemies”), but she’s a bad ass and I love her character. I am very excited to see what happens in the long run.
Beth finds herself in a bit of a predicament in the trailer for tonight’s brand new episode. Will her loyalties to her father and his ranch stand firm?
We’ll find out later tonight.
