Yellowstone fans are still reeling after an explosive end to the show’s third season. Now some fans are speculating a new hero may rise from the ashes.

Many fans of the drama have already turned their attention to the fourth season. Some of those viewers expect a bloody revenge story to take center stage for the next season.

The Western family drama is taking a break after shocking fans with its last episode. With the fates of the Dutton family unclear, fans still wonder how John Dutton will take his revenge when the show returns.

As the episode hit its stride, attackers ravaged the Dutton Ranch, one of the series’ central locations. The fate of several characters is left unclear as the credits roll. Fans have been trying to guess what happened to Beth and Kayce Dutton and figure out just how severe John Dutton’s injuries are.

Season Four Speculation

A lot of the speculation centers around Jamie Dutton, who faced numerous issues throughout the course of the season. Midway through the third season, Jamie, played by Wes Bentley, finds his birth certificate and discovers a big secret kept from him since his childhood.

After coming to the realization that he was adopted into the Dutton family, Jamie seeks to find his biological father. He later meets his father, Garrett Randall, who reluctantly speaks with him. Jamie also learns that his father killed his mother and abandoned him at a young age.

The plot twists during the season have led some fans to speculate Jamie could be behind the attacks on Dutton Ranch. Others believe Jamie will assist the Duttons in getting revenge on the attackers.

Another theory suggests Randall will help his in carrying out revenge tactics. This theory is sparked by rumors that Will Patton, the actor who plays Randall, is set to take on a larger role in Season 4. He could provide an unlikely ally to the Duttons looking to avenge the attacks.

Work is already underway on Yellowstone’s highly anticipated fourth season, which is slated for a summer 2021 start.
