As the release of season 4 of “Yellowstone” is approaching, fans are already anticipating what craziness may happen in the upcoming season. On Instagram today, Yellowstone shared a popular clip from the show. The clip features Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and John Dutton (Kevin Costner). Although the clip is brief, it holds the power and weight of the entire show in those two lines.
“The world doesn’t value your way of life anymore, dad,” said Beth Dutton to her father, John. “I know,” John replies.
Yellowstone decided to caption their post with those two words, “I know,” and the fans love it. One fan comments “BEST SHOW EVER I NEED LIKE 10 MORE SEASONS,” and we couldn’t agree more. From the opening scene when John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner, steps out of his smoking car, apologizes to a horse then shoots it, the show is chock full of violence, drama, and family love. Season four will come out next summer.
The entire show can be bundled up into those two lines. As the Dutton family constantly fights off the invaders on their ranch, the cowboy lifestyle becomes less and less valued. Not only does the family have to fight the outsiders, but they also have to get over their familiar fights. Beth and Jamie continue to be at odds with one another, and that affects both of their relationships with their father. All in all, the Duttons have a lot of work to do in order for the Ranch to survive.
Beth Dutton and Her Father
Beth and her father have the strongest, most loyal relationship out of anyone in the show. Everything she does is for him, and it is what keeps the ranch alive. Jamie does not overlook this alliance. He sees that Beth is the favorite, which puts a large strain on his relationship with his father, and is a key reason behind his and Beth’s conflict.
