Taylor Sheridan not only writes about the western lifestyle, but he lives it too. And this photo from the Texas Hall of Fame Induction proves that the “Yellowstone” co-creator is a real-life cowboy.

Well, we should say that he’s a real-life cowboy, but all cleaned up.

Taylor Sheridan Wears Western Best For Induction Ceremony

Taylor Sheridan is wearing his best western dress in this pic. He’s wearing a tan, felt cowboy hat, starched shirt and jeans, and square-toe cowboy boots. Sheridan completes the look with a dark blue, windowpane plaid sport coat. Additionally, a gold medal hangs around his neck. It’s presumably the honorable token he received that evening.

“There’s no other place to celebrate Texas cowboys and cowgirls than at the World’s Largest (AND BEST) Honky Tonk – Billy Bob’s Texas Welcome to the Team, Class of 2021 – (pictured l to r) Director Andrea Ruby, Taylor Sheridan, Bobby Cox, Susan Maddox, Bobby Kerr, Jennifer Smith and Stran Smith – The Official Fan Page,” the caption reads.

Now we must say Mr. Sheridan looks sharp and he’s giving us major John Dutton vibes. However, we’ve only seen John Dutton (Kevin Costner) wear a blazer once, maybe twice, during the first three seasons of “Yellowstone.”

This type of dress isn’t something that’s typically worn every day on a working ranch. But most of you probably know that. Yes, the hat, jeans, and boots are right in line with what cowboys wear on a day-to-day basis. The suit jacket, not so much.

As a matter of fact, award-winning costume designer, Ruth E. Carter, talks about how she creates the western looks worn by the characters in “Yellowstone.” One of those iconic looks is John’s orange and brown jacket.

Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame Class of 2021

The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was held March 4 at Billy Bob’s Texas.

Taylor Sheridan, along with racing Quarter Horse breeder Bobby Cox, Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame founder Bobby Kerr, and Western apparel businessman Keith Maddox were inducted Thursday night. Additionally, rodeo couple Stran and Jennifer Smith received honors as well. The 2021 Spirit of Texas Award Recipient went to country music artist Bob Wills.

The Texas native was joined by his wife at the ceremony, who snapped a photo of Sheridan giving his acceptance speech.

The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame Induction ceremony is going to be broadcast on the Cowboy Channel on March 21.
