After years of wondering what happened in the Tennessee Cold Case, a scuba-diving youtuber finds the missing car. What started out as a fun exploration turned into discovering something suspicious.

How The Discovery Happened

Authorities have officially reopened the case of two teenagers who disappeared in 2000. Erin Foster, 18, and Jeremy Bechtel, 17 have been missing, since they left their White County home together for a party around 10 p.m. on April 3.

No new evidence has come up until now.

In November, Youtuber Jeremy Beau Sides made an unapproachable discovery. Officials say it is a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am lying at the bottom of the Calfkiller River in Sparta.

Later on, cops discover human remains inside the vehicle, notifying the families right away. Foster’s father says it feels like a dream that his daughter’s remains are found. Although, he mentions that he goes fishing a lot on that river, and has never found anything.

Meanwhile, her mother tells the New York Post that they put her photos away since they’re too hard to look at without her home safe.

Documenting the YouTuber’s Discovery

Youtuber Beau documents his discovery on his YouTube channel for viewers to watch.

The New York Post also sat down and asked him a few questions on the detection.

“I’m lost for words and I’m so glad I could find them,” he tells New York Post. “I’m so sad that’s where they ended up. I can’t believe it’s been over 20 years that they’ve been sitting there waiting for someone to find them.”

Furthermore, Sheriff Steve Page says there will be more information on this tragic event soon.

Remains from the car are being transported to the county coroner for official recognition.

Overall, both families are planning on separate funerals, but as a joint memorial service. They even started a GoFundMe page, which has raised more than $6,200 already.

As the families take this time to process everything, make sure to stay up-to-date on any more uncovered information.

How One Case Leads to Another Discovery

If not most, a lot of us know about the “Gabby Petito” case. Well, her discovery has led to the finding of another missing person.

Robert “Bob” Lowery, 46, from Houston, disappeared in August of this year. He was last seen visiting the vast Bridger-Teton National Forest near Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. Oddly enough, Petito’s remains were also found here.

Both Lowery and Petito quit their day jobs to travel across the United States. Ironic right?
