For function, we give it five stars. There are 19 different ways to use the gadget, after all.

When it comes to quality, we’re giving it a typical five stars. It’s built especially well enough to handle being used frequently for hard jobs.

However, when it comes to usability, we’re dropping one star and giving it four marks. We would’ve loved to have seen spring-loaded pliers for easy one-handed use.

The Leatherman Signal might not be the lightest tool that you can purchase. At the same time, it’s not the heaviest one on the market either. It fits well into pockets via its clip. Plus, it stows away perfectly it the sheath cover.

Furthermore, this is a fairly new tool from Leatherman, but the price is over $100. Though it’s a good investment, we’d like to see the price drop below one Benjamin.

Price: $119.95

All in all, the Leatherman Signal is Outsider’s choice for the best camping tool and well worth the price. You’ll get the bang for your buck with this trusty pocket tool.
